The Role:
As a Data Quality Analyst you understand the business we support and will be responsible for day-to-day data governance activities around business critical data attributes to support digital marketing and e-commerce.
The position will be a key component to the success of Colgate’s Data Management program and will act as an authority regarding data governance processes and initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Interpret data and analyze the results using statistical techniques. Provide ongoing reports on the effects of different strategies and observe any trends or issues to raise with business partners.

Conduct Quality Assurance testing from development to product release

Build reports / analysis on existing consumer and e-commerce data across a number of enterprise applications

Perform data analytics and other strategies to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected.

Identify and interpret trends or patterns in sophisticated data sets.

Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to correct any code problems and check the data efficiency collection processes in place

Engages with business, functions and engineers to ensure that data related business requirements for the protection of critical data are implemented demonstrating data governance tools and standard methodologies

Act as an agent of change to help drive data best practices and driving the concept of data as an asset

Support the rollout of an enterprise wide data governance framework with a focus on the improvement of data quality and the protection of critical data
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, information management, or statistics
-
Master's Degree in Statistics, Data Science or similar field
-
2-3 years of data management experience
-
Good knowledge of programming languages, software tools and analytical methods

Experience with SQL or equivalent database querying language

Good interpersonal and communication skills
-
Critical thinker who can optimally identify, fix and solve problems
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience identifying, quantifying, and optimally raising business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance

Experience in data architecture, system development, business analysis or a related IT field

Exposure to tools used to support data management including data profiling and data quality
