The position is for a SAP Business Process Analyst Web developer that will be orientated to develop the SAP PLM application and also to support development efforts both with commercial and in-house cloud based software solutions. 


The role’s main objective is to support business requirements by implementing projects prioritized by the R&D business function as part of the quarterly planning process. The position sits within the Global Technology (R&D) category within GIT’s Global Application & the Americas (GAA) group and reports into the manager of SAP PLM, Clinical/Claims and Predictive Chemistry.

The overall objective of this role is to: 
1. Partner with the business to understand strategic R&D objectives and resolve how to best support them either through new or existing software solutions.

2. Collaborate closely with the stack-holders to detail business processes/ requirements and the proposed technical solutions

3. Seek business process and procedural problems by either configuring or providing supplemental code either to SAP PLM modules or other cloud based software solutions.

Specific Responsibilities: Major position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

-  Participate in projects of a multi-functional nature and evaluate/deliver/negotiate processes and applications to customers.

-  Identify and assess new technology and concepts that can add value to the business.

-  Cultivate appropriate business involvement in project teams to build ownership for solutions.

-  Design, test, implement and detail IT systems according to agreed timelines, business requirements, regulatory requirements and global project governance standards.

-  Collaborate closely with the relevant teams to ensure that system changes are moved into the production environment without unintended impact on business units.

-  Learn new technologies as the need arises based on the development of the Global Technology portfolio of applications.

-  Project Work: SDS Web Portal Support, JS & Python development of Electronic Data Capture tool for Clinical trials, API Development to link GCP resources to external systems.

-  Enhance SAP PLM Applications

Basic Required Qualifications:
-  Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business

-  Minimum of 5 years in a technical IT role, developing, configuring and implementing business applications.

-  Experience with capabilities of major Cloud providers (Google, AWS, Azure)

-  Experience with web development languages (Javascript (Node/React), HTML, CSS)

-  Experience with Python backend development 

-  Experience with Git version control

-  Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express sophisticated technical concepts in business terms.

-  Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skill

Preferred qualifications: 
-  Experience with SAP PLM (Recipe Management / Recipe Development) 

-  Experience working in ABAP and/or Web Dynpro
