The Role :

The Project Engineer is be responsible for managing the implementation of projects related to major equipment modification or installation of new equipment and facilities. Projects are handled from concept to completion and delivery to internal customers.

Responsibilities :

  • Driving ideation for new equipment or facilities through teamwork with collaborators under the continuous improvement program of the plant.
  • Translating these needs to a conceptual design aligned with the company standards and local regulations,
  • Involving as necessary, internal experts or external engineering partners or global process engineering for achieving the optimum design and specifications standardisation.
  • Acquiring quotations from the contractors/ vendors / suppliers to form a project budget. Negotiating, along with an indirect procurement team, in order to contain expenditure within the approved budget.
  • Facilitating preparation of financial data/budget for all year projects for further management review and approval.
  • Performing project implementation, start-up, troubleshooting and technology transfer by direct supervision of contractors and suppliers.
  • Preparing the necessary technical documentation after project implementation, including capitalization data, validation reports, certificates, and supporting technical training development and SOP creation.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements (reliability, waste, product quality, safety, cost per pound) to meet business needs. This includes working with operating AM teams and participating in the area Small Group meetings
  • Serve as primary resource to operating technicians for troubleshooting issues involving design, safety, production, quality defects, process changes and equipment modification by soliciting feedback and driving continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain updated engineering specifications, plant layouts and procedures for processing and equipment.

What you need for this position:

  • Degree: Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree (or equivalent), ideally at postgraduate level
  • Communication skills: Excellent command of Greek and English languages
  • Digital literacy: PC proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
  • Project management skills: Team building/networking, cost estimate and scheduling
  • Analytical thinking: Analysis of regulations, compliance guidelines, safety practices, audit reports

It’s an advantage to have:

  • Experience in project management/engineering with production management experience.
  • Familiarity with Company practices related to Safety, Quality and Microbiology, and plant financials.
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing experience
