Supply & Demand Planner

This role  will responsible for orchestrating efficiently the supply and demand synchronization process by ensuring efficient and reliable supply of US manufactured products to Hill’s warehouses & locations outside of North America.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track demand requirements call out and understand changes, collaborate with other regions and production planning to support demand fulfillment. 
  • Monitor the supply vs demand required on a weekly/monthly basis (shipment vs requirements) by region, size, brand, SKU level and provide an executive summary with the accomplishment, highlights and actions needed to close potential gaps.
  • Use available planning tools to identify and mitigate product shortages, SLOB’s, aging product and work closely with the Supply Network Planning and regions team to set priorities and communicate action plans, gaps and critical issues proactively. 
  • Lead and provide supply status to the Customer Service & Logistics teams, and our Subsidiaries (Asia, Japan, South Pacific, EMEA, LATAM), communicate supply risks, inventory management.
  • Support regions, global/regional Marketing, Network Operations, Finance, and CS&L teams to ensure preparedness and timely execution of new product initiative and transition SKU’s, geo expansion SKU’s 
  • Understand and work closely with different teams (Network Operations, Warehouse, Supply Network Planning, Regulatory) to meet requirements and supply restrictions based on manufacturing - regions destination regulatory requirements. 
  • Create and understand trends, analytics to find gaps in the process to be able to re enforce the processes. 
  • Perform regular warehouse and logistic capacity analysis weighing demand vs supply for short and mid term to establish flawless operation, and communicate any risks for the US Export Exclusive Warehouses and Logistics Operations. 
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics,, and external business partners to drive operational efficiencies, execute supply network strategies and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Support quarterly master data updates such as: US Exports Transit Time review in SAP and understanding on Planning Parameters to drive optimal automated planning processes. 
  • Support policies and targets for forward looking global SKU stock coverage optimization, inventory projections, and global month-end finished goods inventory reporting (units and pounds).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years prior experience in Supply Chain roles.
  • Application of Supply Chain optimization tools / methodologies, SAP S/4, APO,  Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Kinaxis Rapid Response experience
  • Understanding of SQL and data management systems.

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $81,200.00 - $120,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
