We're looking for a passionate and dynamic Insights Analyst to join our Global Growth & Innovation Team at Hill's Division. This role will report to the Director, Insights and will work on qualitative and quantitative insights projects.

 

What You Will Do: 

 

Insights Execution (40%)

  • Assess current and future consumer needs to advise and prioritize research initiatives.
  • Conduct agile research, including online, in-person discussions, and quantitative studies.
  • Work with the Global Insights Team to craft and improve learning plans for concept evolution.
  • Bridge knowledge gaps to align business inquiries with suitable research methods and reporting.
  • Facilitate meetings to present insights and collaborate with global innovation and strategy teams.
  • Own the research process to discover crucial insights for category development and strategic needs.
  • Analyze data to refine innovation KPIs and measure concept success using industry-standard tools.

 

Analyses and Storytelling (30%):

  • Build analyses using available primary, secondary, internal and social listening data with Insights teams to uncover people and vet insights
  • Connect the dots & link various types of data (example: Nielsen, shopper, expert panel and qualitative or quantitative consumer data) to influence business decision
  • Work with teams to improve target definitions and development of human truths
  • Promote a culture of people centricity and data integrity and accurate representation in insights.
  • Support identification and analysis of trends for development of messaging and new product concepts

 

Governance and Training (30%):

  • Instruct partners on the value of customer focus and data-informed decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for concept testing and the use of agile methodologies.
  • Be responsible for the training on the Agile research platform, ensuring effective application and integration of insights.
  • Facilitate the connection of insights across different learning areas for comprehensive understanding.
  • Explore and introduce new educational resources, frameworks, and research partners.
  • Address challenges related to research, data, or vendors.
  • Lead project finances and maintain vendor partnerships.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Apply expertise and creativity for problem-solving in complex and unique scenarios.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships to improve training and adopt best practices globally.
  • Optimally present research findings to the commercial team and management.
  • Offer proactive thought leadership on consumer insights.
  • Seek out and implement innovative solutions to meet team objectives.
  • Anticipate and address potential challenges before they arise.
  • Conduct global trend analysis to stay ahead of market shifts.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, MBA preferred
  • 2+ years of Market Research/Insights experience
  • Experience owning the execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies agile, online or in-person discussion or quantitative research
  • Knowledge of concept testing 
  • Strong project management skills for balancing multiple projects at once

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen or IRI) , Consumer and Panel data
  • Able to advance projects with little to no direction
  • Have strong presentation and storytelling abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Capable of working on a cross functional team
  • Strong personal leadership to effectively coordinate among multiple internal and external teams

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $91,200.00 - $128,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
