As the Hill’s Pet Social Media Ecosystem Manager you will be an integral part of developing and executing social-first strategies across our pet-parent and professional organic channels. This role will manage a Social Media Analyst responsible for supporting social reporting and strategy execution, working in close partnership with the Paid Media & Brand team . The ideal candidate will be a social native, with a deep understanding of each social platform’s idiosyncrasies and the ability to mold business strategies into short and long-term social activations.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Leads overall organic social media channel growth strategies and execution for both consumer and professionals.
  • Translates business goals and brand-growth plans into social-first organic campaigns, ensuring focus on building advocacy and collaboration with brand teams.
  • Leverages channel expertise to develop strategies in order to meet target audiences on key expansion platforms (Tiktok, Pinterest, YouTube), whilst ensuring strategies for matured channels are continuously optimized.
  • Oversees the refinement and deployment of professional social strategies, collaborating closely with our internal professional vet affairs (PVA) teams.
  • Oversees our social community management strategy, working closely in tandem with our customer experience center, Public Relations, legal, Brand, and PVA teams to report back on strategy efficacy. 
  • Collaborates with key internal & agency stakeholders to develop and maintain reporting dashboards to provide key insights on channel and content performance.
  • Coordinates integration of social commerce capabilities on platform (Meta & Tiktok) whilst working closely with web teams (hillspet & DTC) to understand internal technical roadmaps to support activation.
  • Stay on top of industry trends & social media advancements and develop test-&-learns to capitalize where relevant. 
  • Partners with counterparts in Paid Social to ensure alignment in all social strategies, channels and executions across organic & paid.
  • Partners with Paid media team in the refinement and deployment of professional social strategies, collaborating closely with our internal professional vet affairs (PVA) teams.
  • Identifies key opportunities of leveraging and adapting paid influencer content into organic focuses.
  • Manages key audience and sentiment tools/ vendors and ensures tools continue to serve insight requirements. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing or related field.
  • 4+ years proven experience in digital marketing with hands-on social media management.
  • Deep knowledge of social platform best practices. 
  • Understanding of agile methodology and process. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience of team management.
  • Experience using insight/ publishing tools (e.g. Canva, Emplifi, BrandWatch, Sprinklr, Google Analytics).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $91,200.00 - $128,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
