This is an exciting opportunity for a second year veterinary student to experience life as part of the Hill’s Professional Veterinary Affairs team.
The Hill’s Professional Veterinary Affairs (PVA) team is the face of the veterinary profession at Hill’s Pet Nutrition and the veterinary voice within the US Company. The PVA team leads the on the ground execution of initiatives that drive the Hill’s mission, nutritional philosophy, brand, and products. The PVA team interacts directly with our academic, corporate and private practice customers. The PVA team employs a variety of veterinarians and veterinary technicians with varied areas of expertise.
We are looking to you, as a motivated, high performing second year veterinary school student who can contribute to our team here in Kansas City and our global customers. You will be rotating through different areas and departments to get a broad experience in the life of a veterinarian working for an animal health company.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Hill’s Kansas City team in a hybrid workplace environment ; observe interaction with other departments including marketing and customer development. You will also have exposure to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in the US Company and in the global department. The experience would allow the successful candidate to collaborate cross functionally, work on projects, and learn from many experts in the field.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Students who are in good academic standing. Need to provide a resume, and unofficial transcript
• Undergraduate degree and completed 2nd year veterinary school
• Positivity, integrity and a willingness to learn
• Strong critical and analytical thinking and keen research skills
• Willingness to try new ideas & technologies to find innovative solutions to business issues
• Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
• Aptitude in digital and social media communication

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $28,00 - $32,50 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
