The Experience

Did you know that 1500 types of medicines sold in pharmacies can lead to dry mouth? And did you also know that dry mouth can lead to an increased risk of caries?

Colgate Duraphat had a licence update in 2020, moving from an Rx medicine to OTC status in Norway, opening up more occasions for recommendation from healthcare professionals (Dental, Pharmacy, Hospital). This change has meant that there are more  opportunities for Duraphat to improve the dental health of patients in Norway.

Putting patient wellbeing at the heart of everything you do, you will forge your own, meaningful relationships based on thought leadership to drive success across Colgate Duraphat and our Therapeutic sub-brands.

As part of Team Norway, you will be responsible for driving recommendation of our professional products portfolio & our engagement within the Dental & Pharmacy Industries.  You will work with our local and Northern Europe team on dental fairs & exhibitions, associations, academia, and market access.

You will be an important member of our Professional Team, working within our local Norwegian team and with counterparts across Denmark, Sweden, UK and Ireland.

Who are you?

    • You possess experience in the Dental or Pharmacy industry, with a keen focus on commercial aspects and a strong orientation towards customers and patients. Your background may include roles in sales or brand management for pharmaceutical products.

    • With a proactive "can do" attitude, you excel in executing marketing plans seamlessly across both physical and digital channels. Your efforts are aimed at reaching healthcare professionals and consumers alike. You are well-versed in regulations concerning medicinal products and leverage this expertise to develop educational initiatives, promote dental and hospital recommendations, and enhance pharmacy sales.

    • Your strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills make you a passionate advocate for our brands. You identify market access opportunities, fortify existing relationships, and discover new partnerships with dental organizations, patient associations, pharmacies, educational institutions, and hospital wards.

    • You are adept at multitasking, tenacious and adaptable in setting, prioritizing, and managing multiple responsibilities. You maintain consistency under pressure, clearly prioritize tasks, and efficiently organize your workload, acknowledging that the role sometimes entails evening commitments for executing seminars and webinars.

    • Your focus on patients is unwavering. You prioritize their needs in all your endeavors, maximizing opportunities for them to engage with our professional products and enhance their quality of life.

    • As a passionate team player dedicated to delivering results, your track record showcases your ability to engage colleagues for the benefit of patients, our professional partners, and Colgate-Palmolive.

What you will be doing?

    • Position Colgate as the premier Oral Care partner by fostering advocacy and recommendations within the dental sector, which includes professionals in academia, dental schools, public dentists, dental chains, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals and associations. This will be achieved through comprehensive educational and engagement activities.

    • Organize and execute Colgate Professional's educational programs, whether they be seminars, lectures, or webinars; conducted in person or remotely; and intended for individuals, groups, or large audiences. Responsibilities include selecting external speakers and identifying relevant topics that align with our professional strategy, in collaboration with Scientific Affairs.

    • Lead the planning and participation in events, maximizing the use of all patient- and industry-facing resources and materials. This includes informational leaflets, pharmacy and digital marketing materials, educational presentations, communications, event stands, and websites. Ensure that all activities and project outcomes are documented and tracked in the CRM system.

    • Initiate sponsorships for dental students and broaden engagement initiatives, which includes planning academic lectures for dental students and expanding to other student groups such as pharmacists and nurses. Identify and lead strategic projects aimed at enhancing brand recommendations through a "1:many" approach.

    • Utilize strong communication and networking skills to plan and establish interactions with key influencer targets, intending to build sustainable long-term relationships and promote recommendations for the POC portfolio.

    • Execute market access strategies for Duraphat to unlock potential opportunities within the pharmacy channel, nursing homes, and dental clinics. Target groups include pharmacy personnel, nurses (specializing in cancer care and nursing homes), dentists, dental hygienists, and collaborations with patient and professional associations, key thought leaders (KTL), and influencers.

    • Implement and promote the new Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance educational outreach by providing on-demand educational content for dentists, pharmacists, nurses (specializing in cancer care and in nursing homes).
