 Manager Strategic Analytics

 

We are looking for someone with demonstrated competencies in consultative skills, change management, action/results oriented, partnership, effective interpersonal skills, clear/persuasive communicator, problem solving and strategic thinker – relevant insights tied to strategy and business growth, anticipating opportunities/issues, developing workable insights/solutions, and activation,

 In this position, you will enable business growth and efficiency in the US and Canada Home Care Category by applying advanced analytic techniques to traditional and emerging sources of data. You will contribute to a culture of business integration, innovation, and continual improvement in Strategic Analytics, and Manage and execute best in class strategic analytic capability for Home Care category. This role will also oversee management of standardized reporting tools  to democratize data across North America marketing

 

Main Roles and responsibilities:

  • Consult with Home care Brand and Customer Development / Sales  partners on key issues, defining best analytic solution, completing analysis on own and /or with support from suppliers (ex. Nielsen , Sequoya, Kantar, Analytic Partners)
  • Build annual strategic analytic plans in support of business strategies and goals. Refine plans as business priorities evolve.
  • Implement strategic analytic initiatives including MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling), pricing, revenue management, portfolio optimization/assortment, shopper decision hierarchies, in-market testing, and predictive forecasting.
  • Actively drive action based on the learning in partnership with the business to drive growth
  •  Regularly review business, key drivers, and identify issues/opportunities
  • Identify core insights and partner with marketing and sales teams to activate learnings, track business results, assess business impact, and apply learning for continuous improvement • New product tracking (share, distribution, T&R, SOV) , promotion and coupon tracking/analysis, Category growth drivers for long term and annual/LE planning, Brand Health , MY and annual budgets working with automated tools and
  •  Nielsen  Consumer and shopper trends through Household panel and shopper data sources
  • Integrate with other areas of insights to present a holistic picture of consumer and shopper. Regularly engage and share trends/ information with peers in Category Insights
  • Keeps updated of major Category initiatives and shares key Category analytic initiatives & results to create opportunities for integration
  • Identifies new areas of advanced analytics for potential business application and pilot.
  •  Actively participate in training of fundamental and advance analytics including development of training curriculum and content.
  • Manage Nielsen account, database, platform  for Home Care Categories
  • Play key project management role for Nielsen Connect platform transition
  • Be the lead in standardized 5P data reporting and visualization for all categories

 

Required qualifications:

 

  •  From 7 to 10 years experience in CPG (Consumer Products Goods) industry, or other relevant sales/marketing experience.
  •  Minimum 4-6 in syndicated and advanced analytics.
  • Experience working with multiple sources of data and suppliers (Nielsen, IRI, Shopper data, other Advanced Analytic suppliers).  MUST have experience on Nielsen Data/platforms.
  • Proficiency in fundamental tracking and business review including Nielsen Nitro/Connect and HH panel fundamentals (Source of Volume, new product tracking, segmentation, shopper conversion/leakage, penetration, switching)
  • Good understanding of database management, standardized reporting & visualization of data
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MMM. Pricing and Promotion Elasticity and modeling, Decision Hierarchy, Portfolio Optimization/ Assortment, Forecasting and Predictive Analytics
  •  Statistical modeling knowledge/experience a plus (regression modeling, SQL, SAS, SPSS) • BA/BS degree.
  • Advanced Degree strongly preferred (MBA, Statistics)
