The North America Programmatic Media lead is a key role to stepchange Colgate's transformation. This role will be responsible for establishing Programmatic media as an internal CP core competence and scale activation across North America to ensure that NA digital investments are our most effective and efficient business drivers Customize, refine and implement CP global strategy for Programmatic Marketing in North America: - Accelerate scaling and and integration of Programmatic media to include all biddable, audience driven media - Partner with Global, Global Information Technology (GIT), and agency to stand-up NA Tech stack - Work with Audience Data science lead and Comms planner to embed audience led strategic discipline within Brand Experience Planning - Oversee flawless translation of brand strategies to data driven media campaign executions, measurement and optimizations

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Brand and Integrated Marketing functions as the divisional lead and subject matter expert for data driven media (including programmatic, other biddable media and CRM) thought leadership, media strategy, buying, and implementation in North America.
  • Help translate strategic role of audiences led touchpoints within comms plan for programmatic and biddable media briefs, working to ensure a satisfying consumer experience throughout their journey and their brand experience (with an eye to frequency management and message sequencing).
  •  Accelerate media investments executed through Programmatic (and other biddable) channels to help establish data driven media as a core competence and drive tailored data driven media programs in support of North America business units and sub brands.
  • Develop and manage a mix of private deals, publisher integrations, preferred pricing and data clean rooms where relevant in support of Colgate NA Marketing needs .
  • Be a key stakeholder in the development of the NA ad tech stack (within approved Global partnerships) and make strategic choices on who is owning the data, how to work with the data, how to onboard Marketing in their briefing processes.
  • Partner with Audience Data science lead and Comms Planner to develop recommendations, strategies, methodologies to ensure that programmatic is embedded at the head end of planning, requirements are well understood by marketing teams and deliverables are met against campaign goals. Upskill Marketing/brand building group to have sound understanding of what programmatic stands for and how it can deliver on different IBE goals.
  • Ensure optimizations across programmatically bought media are aligned with key stakeholders and carried out by the team on time and provide final revision and sign off on new media plans.
  • Work with external stakeholders including demand, data and inventory partners to deliver best-in-class recommendations on programmatic strategy.
  • Ensure and establish initiatives around programmatic and digital trends. Lead NA through the transition from cookie based to people based buying.
  • Work with all teams to stepchange data driven media (including programmatic and other biddable media) including operationalizing/automating reporting from various forms of buying and ad serving platforms and creating optimization recommendations based on advanced analytics like audience profiling, post-conversion data, offline-to-online modeling.
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing to further progress organizational understanding of data driven media buying (including programmatic and other biddable media) across the company and develop best practices for implementation, services and tech stack choices

 

Basic qualifications include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of programmatic or related work experience.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage and empower teams.
  • Self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced corporate environment without full guidance.
  • Solid communication skills, capable of raising consensus at all levels: peers, executives, team members.
  • Business analysis and technology implementation experience.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and be creative within a team.
  • Familiarity with multiple DSPs, e.g. The Trade Desk (TTD), DV360, Amobee. Amazon DSP a must.
  • Client side experience a plus
