The role is responsible for supporting the Omni Marketing Activation Senior Manager and Omni Customer Marketing Team in managing omni marketing shopper activations to drive demand at retail and building strong processes for budget management and communications. The Omni Marketing Customer Marketing Specialist is responsible for collaborating with omni commerce teams, CDO, brand, finance and commerce agency resources to drive visibility to holistic Colgate-Palmolive commerce activation plans and driving budget efficiencies.  Integral to the success of this position is a growth mindset and the ability to work through ambiguity with all levels and roles within the organization from brand to sales to finance and other teams, such as third-party vendors and creative agencies. 

 

The Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Accountability for day to day management and monthly/quarterly reconciliation of shopper marketing budget. 
  • Collaborates with agency partners, vendors, omni commerce team and finance to highlight budget overspends/underspends and identify opportunities for reinvestment. 
  • Collaborates with Omni Commerce team & CDO to build commerce plan communications.
  • Leads the communication process that delivers quarterly recaps for the Leadership Team.
  • Assists with communication of upcoming programming through existing channels and optimizes the communication process ongoing.
  • Supports manager in the omni shopper activation platform planning and execution process as needed from brief to execution.  
  • Inputs on customer presentations and attends customer and brand meetings as assigned.
  • Developing annual planning templates in partnership with commerce agency, collecting submissions and building recommended plans for alignment with key stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in ECommerce Sales, Shopper Marketing, or Marketing
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPG experience preferred 
  • Deep Channel, Customer, and Category Knowledge
  • Self-starter, independent thinker, action oriented, and passionate about brand/shopper marketing
  • Strong strategic business acumen and marketing capabilities
  • Solid project/program management skills
  • Analytically inclined with the ability to link seemingly disparate pieces of information
  • Curiosity, creative thinking and problem solving skills 
  • Detail oriented, reliable, resourceful and driven for results professional
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to effectively present ideas and concepts to groups of varying levels internally and externally
  • Ability to contribute, influence and work effectively in a cross-functional matrix organization
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize/work effectively under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity
  • Travel: 10%
