About the Role

The North America Media Budget Coordinator reporting to the NA Media director is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, preparing, reporting, and communicating up-to-date budgets and analysis for media and associated budgets.  Also responsible for media competitive reporting coordination for commercial teams and associated analyses.


Main Responsabilities

  • Managing and updating budget reporting processes, meeting needs and schedule, and working with stakeholders to manage media budget updates and communication 
    • Coordination of media budget tracking and budget reports for CP NA portfolio (will  include Colgate oral care brand and sub-brands, and, at times, will include Tom’s of Maine, hello, Irish Spring, Softsoap, Palmolive and Fabuloso for US)
    • Collaboration among CP internal finance, indirect procurement, ecommerce, search, DTC, CRM, agency media teams (RedFuse media, Wavemaker Search, Active, BCW, Star Power) and commercial teams for tracking/ reconciliation of budgets and savings tracking and FTG calculations
    • Lead monthly financial pre-close meetings, focusing on the documentation of budget changes while  facilitating collaboration and accountability of budget stakeholders.
    • Review media authorizations and confirm that they are aligned with plans/budgets. Confirm with media director and brand teams that plans are aligned on before signing off on release of dollars.
    • Oversee and codify PO process, submit PO requests and maintain PO log.  Review submitted invoices and verify that they can be accepted. Connect agencies' finance teams with CP
  • Lead competitive reporting by working with agency media team and brand teams to understand competitive set, define requests and set /refine processes
    • Working with internal and external partners to manage changes in categorization
    • Identify stakeholder (President, VP, GMs, Corporate, Brand Teams) competitive reporting needs and priorities
    • Manage ad hoc requests for internal competitive reporting while uncovering the greater meaning behind the data
    • Responsible for formalizing process and templates for the team; responsible for communicating team on new process


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-3 or more years of prior experience in related media/communications planning experience (including budgeting)
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, etc.)
  • Strong communication and management facing skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a desire to understand how other disciplines work/function.  This hunger for knowledge/understanding will help in forming processes that benefit the larger org.
  • Hand raiser/self-starter/problem-solver who looks for opportunity to fine-tune current processes or pain points.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in systems/tools
  • Good technical and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and function within ambiguity
  • Ability to learn and utilize new financial systems
  • Understanding and implementation skills for Media Tools and its capabilities is a plus


Salary Range $70,400 - $103,950 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a
performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
