In today’s dynamic marketing environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the Insights team at Colgate. You will implement and support the development of the insights' agenda across key verticals within the North America Oral Care business as part of a broader Oral Care Insights team, supporting an array of products and sub-brands within the Colgate-Palmolive portfolio. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional stakeholders responsible for the Oral Care business, delivering growth-driving insights grounded in synthesized insights findings, incorporating an array of research methodologies and data sources. This role will leverage a people-centric insight approach to drive thought leadership, creative research approaches, and to be the “voice of the consumer” for Colgate's Oral Care business.

What you will do:

  • Scope, implement, and deliver insights initiatives guiding business decisions regarding product and brand innovation, communication strategy, and go-to-market execution, across a diverse toolbox of research methodologies
  • Be an “insights champion” within the organization to facilitate stakeholder adoption of research findings, supported by strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Drive a proactive insights agenda for relevant segments of the Oral Care portfolio based upon ongoing business needs, working in partnership with stakeholders, the Director of Oral Care Insights, and Enterprise [Global] Oral Care to identify potential gaps and deliver diversified insights solutions that will drive growth for the business
  • Facilitate the overall insights knowledge management agenda, bringing to bear previous studies and integrating these findings with current projects
  • Partner with the product innovation team to develop insights pertaining to the early product development lifecycle stage
  • Partner with Integrated Brand Experience & communication teams to drive excellence in storytelling and creative development as well as testing and measurement across media platforms
  • Serve as an integral part of business “sprint teams” providing insights/trends perspective and integrating existing insights knowledge into sprint team outcomes

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of proven experience in research, ideally in CPG or similar categories, with a focus on brand strategy, innovation, and communication
  • Strong foundational knowledge of research tools and techniques, with a particular focus on both digital and agile research platforms
  • Proven track record to translate data into a practical narrative, with a clear link to business implications
  • Extensive experience in presenting to partners across levels of organizational experience
  • Drive to find opportunities where insights can make valuable contributions to the organization and see them through to action 
  • Strong business insight across both brand and commercial understanding
  • Collaborative problem solving skills and demonstrated cross-functional collaboration experience

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to lead through ambiguity in business needs and research approach
  • Ability to challenge the status quo to negotiate and influence customer decision-making

 

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $112,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
