As our Leave Administration Manager, you’ll be at the heart of supporting colleagues to balance work and life—because we know taking time off is key to everyone’s success. In this dynamic role, you’ll do it all: champion employee leaves (from disability to parental and more), make important decisions, and harness technology to simplify and enhance our processes. If you have a passion for process improvement, expertise in absence and disability management, and a knack for building strong partnerships, we’d love to see you bring your skills to our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Leave of Absence Administration:

    • Manage relationships with leave vendors and act as the main contact for employees during the leave process

    • Address and resolve issues related to Disability, Leave, and ADA

    • Configure and maintain leave management software to align with company policies, including user access management and secure system integration

    • Customize and update leave technology and processes as policies change, supporting ongoing policy upkeep.

  • Process Improvement: Update administrative procedures in collaboration with stakeholders and the disability vendor to better integrate leave processes.

  • Day-to-Day Vendor and Process Management:

    • Oversee daily operations and performance of the disability administrator

    • Review reports to ensure proper leave coordination and accurate return-to-work processing

    • Escalate and resolve issues, working with stakeholders to enhance processes and integrations

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development and Maintenance:  Update SOPs to reflect current policies, best practices, and benefits, ensuring regulatory compliance and monitor and enforce SOP adherence, addressing deviations to maintain standards

  • Accommodations Management: Oversee and document all accommodation requests, including approvals, denials, and extensions and ensure accurate tracking and compliance for all accommodation actions

  • Workers’ Compensation:

    • Oversee integration of Workers’ Compensation with leave programs (STD, FMLA).

    • Review payments to prevent overpayments and ensure accurate claims.

  • Manage and document all return-to-work procedures and address unauthorized leaves

  • Other time off policies: Assist in managing vacation and sick leave policies.

Required  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in leave of absence management or a related field (ex. disability management)

  • Expertise in using technology solutions for leave administration

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to leave and disability management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and leading a team

  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and configuring leave management software

  • Familiarity with workers' compensation and disability benefits coordination

  • Strong communication, leadership and team management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
