We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our personalized marketing & loyalty team in this new North America Data Strategist role. You will join an agile team helping to build the future of marketing at Colgate and have an opportunity to influence one of the largest divisions at Colgate. You will lead Data Strategy across consumer & professional touch points and will play a critical role in planning, developing and execution of data acquisition, engagement and loyalty goals by using MarTech tools and infrastructure and partner closely with Global IT and Global Digital Organization (GDO) to deliver North America business goals.


What you will do

  • Develop & own NA data strategy inclusive of consumer & professional journey
  • Responsible for managing and developing data requirements, gaps, quality, acquisition source in order to form an organized view of customer journey  
  • Identify and execute business use cases that integrates all channels (DTC, CRM, B2B & Consumer Affairs & Paid Media) to achieve long term data acquisition & attribution goals
  • Function as key business data technologist and strategist with Global IT (GIT) & Global Design Organization (CDO) to influence and deliver on NA Data Acquisition & engagement goals
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring sound build and enhancement of our tech platform while leading the implementation of any desired changes and proactively suggesting optimizations to improve data integration, management and quality 
  • Define and create measurement framework that outline marketing effectiveness, KPIs, benchmarks and targets that support business objectives & use cases 
  • Identify new data attributes that Colgate Palmolive should capture to deliver a strong customer experience in partnership with DTC, B2B, CRM, Consumer Affairs & Media Teams
  • Develop a data model & consumer profiles based on zero, first and third party data acquisition 
  • Grow the use of CDP and other MarTech in data driven use cases, campaign activation and general adoption through strategy to integrate a broader spectrum of first-party datasets
  • Support the evolution of digital platforms and applications, as a data strategist, by providing data thought leadership including data quality and requirements guidance in alignment with business use and accessibility
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunity markets, optimize messaging and offer strategies, and recommend testing & measurement framework 
  • Innovatively use MarTech to build and improve personalized experience for consumer/customer across Colgate properties (digital) 
  • Contribute to data architecture designs ensuring they align with best practices and overall management including: data ingestion, processing & validation, transformation and modeling
  • Lead overall project timelines, including identification and communication of critical path items, key milestones and cross-functional dependencies; actively communicate against timeline and plan for critical project tasks and required resources
  • Work with Global and Divisional Marketing teams to advance first party data collection, integration and accessibility efforts with a strong focus on data driven marketing strategy and technologies 
  • Partner with key team members to ensure clarity of scope, deliverables and handle expectations through project timelines and beyond


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, analytics, or relevant field
  • 7+ years professional experience working in Information Technology or Digital Marketing
  • Experience leading large full-lifecycle implementations and/or implementing integrated solutions including cloud-based marketing solutions
  • Strong understanding of data management technologies (data models, quality, compliance and general management practices), enterprise and Cloud technologies
  • Understanding of privacy regulations on the collection and use of customer data (such a GDPR and CCPA) and how these impact customer data management.
  • Clear, concise and business-friendly communication skills 
  • Strong motivational and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on numerous assignments at one time with demonstrated follow-through, attention to detail and commitment to business partnership
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity - in business requirements, technology options and project direction


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) including Journey Builder, Email Studio & Content Studio, Advertising Studio and MobileConnect
  • Experience with BlueConic or other Customer Data Platform
  • Experience with Commerce technology and associated data
  • Experience with Snowflake and DOMO
  • Experience with JIRA, Google Analytics, Monday.com & Miro 
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology and SCRUM in order to provide input into estimating and executing engagement activities

Salary Range $112,000 - $157,000 USD 

 

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
