The Finance Manager - North America, NVO & Media is responsible for providing financial reports and analyses to the Division Leadership Team based on SAP cost center and cost elements and by leveraging financial analytics and cross functional collaboration to drive sustainable Non-Variable Overheard (NVO) savings. This is accomplished by owning and actively reviewing the P&L and working with cross functional teams. In addition, the Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity and documentation of financial reporting related to the team’s activity, its alignment with corporate policies and strategies, and that all accounting principles are properly followed.

 

What you will do

NVO

  • Partner with NVO budget owners to develop NVO budget after reviewing with Divisional Finance leadership
  • Track NVO spend monthly and work with budget owners to identify Risks and Opportunities
  • Track and report NVO savings versus goals
  • Work with Corporate Finance to record and track the Corporate allocations
  • Prepare quarterly estimates and budgeted NVO roll-forward for the division by working with other partners in the North America Division
  • Prepare mid-year and budget exhibits for NVO for the North America Division    
  • Make accrual and adjustment entries at month and quarter end

Sales 

  • Analyze commercial sales commission and 3rd party brokerage and make adjustments as needed
  • Develop and track commission budget and estimates

Media

  • Partner with Interactive Brand Experience (IBE) team on media budget and estimates
  • Work with IBE team and media agencies on fees and production budgets
  • Prepare and review Division budgets
  • Make adjustment and accrual entries at month end, as needed

Insights & Analytics

  • Coordinate with Insights & Analytics team to align with budget/LE to Budget & Planning funding
  • Work with Insight & Analytics team to track actual and make accruals as and when needed

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • At least 8 years of relevant Accounting/Financial experience
  • Proven expertise in SAP

Preferred Qualifications

  • General accounting experience
  • CPA and/or MBA
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Google suite, and BW

Salary Range $112,000 - $164,850 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive
offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
