JOB SUMMARY

The HR Director role is responsible for driving the people and culture strategy within our North America (NA) Marketing Function. This role reports into the SVP HR, North America and will partner with leaders owning the Oral Care (inclusive of Colgate Oral Professional - COP), Home and Personal Care, Consumer Experience & Growth, and the hello business. As an HR leader within the division this role will support select people initiatives across the division as well deliver function responsibilities within talent and performance management, learning and development, employee relations, recruitment, organizational design, and change management. This role is a critical driver for ensuring an inclusive and high performing workplace.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

Strategic Leadership and Business Partnership

  • Lead HR Business Partner driving the people and culture strategy as well as all core people processes for North America Marketing which is inclusive of Oral Care (OC), Home and Personal Care (HPC), and Consumer Experience and Growth (CXG)

  • Partners and advises multiple senior leaders in alignment with their business strategies to ensure a high performing work environment. To provide solutions or deliver optimization within the function

Talent Management and Development

  • Senior contributor to the NA HR team focused on enabling the HR Operating model, coaching and upskilling talent, and championing collaboration and partnership throughout the HR function

  • Manages a team of 3 HR professionals providing guidance and coaching within the HR business partnering and university recruitment space

  • Influences and collaborates with HR Shared Services and SMEs (Recruitment, Learning & Development, Workforce Planning & Analytics, Compensation, etc.) to drive positive people outcomes for the business

  • Serve as an employee advocate by establishing workforce relationships

  • Counsels and coaches business leaders and managers to create and maintain a positive employee relations work environment

Data-Driven Solutions and HR Strategy Alignment

  • Establish proactive and responsive channels of communication to understand the pulse of the organization

  • Use People Analytics to inform solutions development (e.g. career planning, targeted compensation, incentives, retention, etc.) through anticipation and understanding of issues and trends of future labor, organization and business needs

  • Identify and implement forward-thinking HR solutions based on understanding of relevant business operations and strategies aligned with the HR Strategy

Organizational Design, Change Management, and Employee Engagement

  • Partner with the CoHREs (COE) to advise on the design and execution of HR programs to ensure relevance to current and future business needs

  • Support leadership development to identify current and projected leadership and functional capability gaps and to work on solutions that are aligned with HR Strategy and CoHREs

  • Partner with the Learning CoHRE (COE) to identify learning needs that are informed by business needs, current performance gaps, and future capabilities required

  • Partner with the Compensation COHRE (COE) to identify, in partnership with Business leaders, compensation actions for key talent and overall Comp approach

  • Collaborate with the People Development CoHRE (COE) and Global Functions and Business Units on leadership succession plans

  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on organization design, including structure, processes, capabilities, and resource requirements, and identify gaps and opportunities

  • Collaborate with business leaders on action planning to support implementation of organization design and change management efforts

  • Collaborate with Business Leaders and Managers on employee engagement initiatives

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, 10+ years of progressive HR experience

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or consumer products industry

  • Prior experience with the following preferred:

    • Business Partnering  at the VP and above level

    • Organizational Design

    • Changement Management of complex initiatives 

    • Complex Employee Relation scenarios

    • CoHRe speciality area (Compensation, Benefits, People Relations, People Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Analytics, Organization Development/Design)

    • Prior director or matrix talent management

 

 Preferred Qualifictions

 

  • MBA/Master’s  preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven mentality.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite; SAP HR  
  • Ability to manage both tactical and strategic HR functions.
  • Experience partnering with HR colleagues across the organization i.e. TA, Compensation, Talent Management, etc.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Proven organizational skills:  can work well under pressure, is kind and helpful, prioritize tasks and keeps track of deliverables  

Salary Range $178,000 - $198,000USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
