JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will be an outstanding storyteller with a strong portfolio of work that spans speeches, Question & Answer Sessions (Q&As), digital copy, video, social media and letters. This is a highly influential role that requires someone who is creative and curious, a strong writer who is comfortable with digital platforms, well organized, and able to prioritize projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, mining stories and telling them in outstanding and exciting ways for different audiences across varied media. We are looking for someone who can be Colgate’s in-house storyteller, developing themes and stories that incorporate external thought leadership and relevant cultural and business anecdotes and references.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-  Develop story ideas for all Colgate corporate channels – from the Intranet and global newsletters to social channels

-  Research, develop, investigate, and build a variety of business, technology and science-related topics and human-interest news and feature stories through interviews, observations, networking, and library/online resources for publications, press releases, and online content.

-  Partner with the corporate communications team on presentations and articles, developing story ideas and also finding data points and statistics to support key messages

-  “Connect the dots” across the globe to build themes

-  Think like an advertising copywriter, coming up with compelling slogans and taglines for projects and communications campaigns

-  Build community relations ads for programs

-  Develop strategic executive scripts and also draft internal transaction emails

-  Fact check and proof read.

-  Build effective relationships and deep understanding of business needs to identify relevant, compelling and engaging content across the organization and improve appropriate use of content across all communications channels


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-  Bachelor's Degree 

-  At least 5 years of communications experience in a consumer-oriented/ global /media organization


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
-  Journalism/Writing bachelor's degree is a plus
