What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?
We are seeking a skilled and expert Network and Information Security Specialist to join its growing Global Information Security organization. This position requires in-depth experience and knowledge of both Network and Cyber Security Technology. The successful candidate will be handling Global Network & Global Information Security technologies.
Key responsibilities includes network & security system management for all Colgate locations & cloud, investigating network & security problems with priority to minimize business disruption
The Network and Information Security Specialist should be experienced in network architecture, design, engineering and supporting network & security configurations over hybrid environments that include on-premise and public clouds, such as GCP.
Who are you…
You are a functional expert -
- This position is for an Individual contributor who would be responsible but not limited for the following
- Real time monitoring of network and security services, ensuring operational effectiveness
- Intervene and report and data communications, network, security service failures or security violations, coordination and expedite resolution
- Be a technical liaison to Colgate’s network business partners that provides managed services and equipment for our LAN/WAN & Wireless environment to ensure the integrity of the Colgate network globally
- Proficiency in various LAN, WAN & Wireless technologies and correlate it with LAN / Security tools
- Proficiency in configuration of Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless devices (Access points & Wireless Controllers) and Palo Alto SDWAN
- Expertise in configuring VLAN, STP, Port-Channel, HSRP, VTP & STP Configurations
- Proficiency in configuration of Prisma Access, firewall (Palo Alto preferred)
- Administration of Direct Internet, MPLS network and routing protocol like EIGRP / BGP
- Design packet prioritization & analysis
- Prepare detailed network specifications & documentation that includes diagrams, configurations and standards
- Maintain production network reliability through accurate utilization of IT standards and governance processes

- Able to analyze root cause, see larger picture while handling broader issues / threats

- Collaborate with business / functional team, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, network testing and implementation of project
- Mentor and coach junior network resources

- Conduct performance tuning to improve network performance over multiple business processes
- Stay updated with the innovative tech and adapt to these changes by self-learning and evaluate how they can add new value to the business
What you’ll need…(Required)
- 3 and / or more years of experience in network operations, with specialized expertise in configuring and handling network devices such as firewalls, routers, SDWANs, switches & Wireless
- Experience in handling global network operations in a large-sized environment
- Experience in handling global internet circuits & MPLS networks
- Experience in synthetic monitoring and alerting configuration associated with network and applications
- Experience with OT network design expertise a plus
- Experience with security fundamentals like NAT, proxies, IDS/IPS, WAF's, CDN's, SSL/TLS
- Fundamental understanding about application architectures such as client/server, service oriented architecture, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, containers etc
- Complex problem solving and critical thinking with security first approach
- Strong documentation skills for crafting comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and alignment to industry standards.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
What you’ll need…(Preferred):
- CCNA (Must to have) and CCNP (Preferred)
- Experience in Network Firewall rule design and implementation (Palo Alto Networks preferred)
- Security Operations Center Level 1 analyst experience
- Experience working with Cisco DNAC and/or Cisco Identity Services Engine
- Experience in querying and analysis in a SIEM tool (Splunk experience preferred)
