About GDM Team

Data Management as a function has the objective to achieve one version of data in core business systems and applications, enabling correct transactional processes and analytics, resulting in use of the information as the asset valued for the Company.

Data in scope of the function include reference data, master data, content, analytic data, social data, big data, their definitions, governance processes, metrics, lifecycle and technology.

Scope of the data management depends on the current Company’s strategy and what is assessed and considered as key priority to achieve desired business outcome.

 

Purpose & Accountabilities

To plan and execute the global data management strategy for divisions within the scope of responsibility.  This includes Vendor, Product, Customer, Finance master data as well as other data being in scope of Data Management strategy.  Lead CBS Data Management team located in the shared service center in project execution and business operations ensuring effective delivery of our strategies, quality data in our business systems and agreed service levels in data management processes.  This includes global responsibilities for domain specific data operations, developing new policies and processes and overseeing the implementation of standard data governance across all divisions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving business change related to Product, Vendor, Finance Data standards and governance with accountability to Global Data Management and Sr VPs of different functions namely, Marketing, Customer Development, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Planning and coordinating all Data Management projects,
  • Working with the Global Data Management Team, establish timelines, allocate resources and agree project assignments,
  • Manage the business process change by identifying all affected resources, contributing to the organization design, effectively communicating all aspects of the change and executing training programs within the division,
  • Tracking, reporting and communicating progress against plan,
  • Data Management business operations,
  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures for the Divisions within the scope of the responsibility, ensuring quality, security, accessibility and availability of all relevant data,
  • Establish and agree service levels for the execution of creating, maintaining and archiving data management processes,
  • Monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators for Data Quality and Process Service Levels.
  • Responsible for key MDM activities as part of the Regional role thereby providing services in terms of data shepherding, stewardship and business engagement with the region.
  • Lead the Center of Expertise for Reference Data and DMM
  • Lead and monitor activities pertaining to Data Management Maturity and provide a roadmap for effective execution
  • Strategize and implement a governance model for managing key Reference data elements in the wake of S4 instance consolidation.

 

Financial Management:

  • Working with the CBS Director and GDM WW Director to establish operating budget
  • Track spending against budget
  • Review and provide inputs on billing to business teams for services provided 
  • Review and approve all departmental expenditures
  • Ensure compliance with procurement and payment processes, including travel expenses

 

Required Education, Experience and Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ Years of experience in Master Data
  • Qualification: Any Engineering / IT  background.
