What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team? 
 

Data Governance: Product/Material, Vendor, Customer and Finance Master Data
As a Data Governance Analyst specializing in Product Data Management, you will serve as the pivotal contact for any business-related questions. Your role includes ensuring the integrity and accuracy of product information, guiding stakeholders through the complexities of product data management, and maintaining robust data governance practices. You will be instrumental in facilitating clear communication and providing expert insights to support data-driven decisions regarding our product data.

 

Who are you? 
 

You are a functional expert:
 

  • Problem-solver, with analytic thinking and ability to apply root cause analysis
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and meet deadlines
  • Experience working cross functionally with business areas.
  • Act as the primary individual responsible for maintaining the accuracy and currency of our data. Data Sanity is crucial so validating the trackers and dashboards to ensure that consistency is maintained over different reporting cycles
  • Ensure compliance with internal data management policies and achievement of data-related targets.
  • Facilitate audits by providing all required data to auditors and ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Continuously seek and implement improvements to streamline and optimize our data management processes.
  • Generate reports assessing the quality of our data, resolve any disorganized or incorrect data, and participate in initiatives to improve our data quality

  • SAP Data Stewardship: You will handle and lead all aspects of data within SAP, guaranteeing the quality and consistency of the information that serves as the foundation for our business operations.
  • Quality Assurance: By conducting regular data quality checks, you ensure that our data assets meet the highest standards, providing reliable insights and supporting strategic decisions

 

You are a collaborator - 

 

  • You will support Global Data Management CoE by providing project support
  • Business Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact for business partners, you will address inquiries, capture requirements, and translate business needs into data solutions.

 

You are an innovator - 
 

  • With a constantly evolving business environment, you will find out different ways to tackle the business problem
  • Data Migration Expertise: Your skills will be key in managing data migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and integrity of data across systems.
  • Tool Deployment: You will lead the implementation of new data management tools, streamlining processes and improving our data handling capabilities.

 

What you’ll need… 
 

  • You should have a Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • You need at least 2 years of experience working with data management tools and tech.
  • Being really good with SAP systems is important.
  • Knowing about reporting, dashboarding
  • Python Knowledge or have taken a data science course

 

What you’ll need…(Preferred) 
 

  • Solid understanding of consumer packaged goods industry
  • Understanding of Colgate’s processes, and tools supporting analytics (for internal candidates)
  • Willingness and ability to experiment with new tools and techniques 
  • Being willing to try out new tech and ways of doing things is really good
  • Good facilitation and project management skills
