What role will you play as a member of Colgate’s Information Technology team?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Finance - Business Process Architect to join our team. You will be responsible for business-facing support and development for various applications in SAP Finance, including GL, AR, AP, and FSCM.
In this role, you will serve as a professional for global business processes within the function, lead the execution of different project activities, and ensure the smooth execution of critical business processes.
You will collaborate with business teams, technical teams, and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities across different business areas and geographies. Your ability to bring together business problem requirements and transform them into solution designs will be important.

You are a functional expert
As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Expertise in SAP Finance General Accounting, direct and indirect taxation, Costing, Accounts Payable & Receivable. Added advantage for exposure to Open Text, FSCM with SAP Accounting/Payments, Cash Application, Customer Master, Vendor Master, Business Partner, Integration with SD & MM, and General Ledger Accounting.
- Knowledge in ABAP debugging and Report Painter is nice to have.
- Experience with S/4 Hana Account-based PA and Material Ledger is a must.
- Strong core process knowledge about manufacturing/consumer-based industries.
- Deliver day-to-day application support, including response to emergencies (24x7).
- Lead and perform the design, configuration, and testing of SAP and other applications for projects, upgrades, implementations, and rollouts.
- Maintain system performance and reliability by following procedures, analyzing root causes, and continuous improvement.
- Implement global governance, project steps, and documentation standards.
- Independently connect with the business to understand requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Function as a support coordinator, balancing resource loads and supervising SLA progress.
- Draft functional specifications for developers for specific custom developments.
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and changes in SAP development and other technologies through self-training and research work.
- Mentor and coach junior developer resources.
You connect the dots
Your deep understanding of business process knowledge in Finance, such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Costing & GA Accounting Cycle, will ensure the delivery of planned projects on time. You will provide efficient support to business users by aligning SAP configurations with standard and Colgate practices, ensuring our systems and processes run smoothly in the production environment.
You are a collaborator
Your expertise and insights as a SAP FICO expert will be instrumental in driving the success of our SAP support and project deliveries. You will work closely with multi-functional teams, business users, and customers to develop and implement SAP solutions.
You are an innovator
You will spearhead transformative initiatives that push the boundaries of what’s possible with SAP and beyond. Your innovative approach will drive the evolution of our SAP deliveries, completing tasks on time and avoiding business interruptions. Your business insight and ability to build use cases in the SAP environment will enhance business efficiency through automation and make valuable contributions regarding effort or cost savings.
What you’ll need…(Required)
- Bachelor's Degree f Commerce, any postgraduate degree, CA, ICWA/CMA.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one area in General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, or SAP Banking. Exposure to Ecommerce integration to SAP accounting and payments is an added advantage.
- Business process knowledge in Customer Invoice, Vendor Invoice, Payment, Bank Reconciliation, Month-end process, and Costing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to new technologies.
What you’ll need…(Preferred)
- Experience in the SAP S/4 Hana environment.
- Exposure to Open Text, FSCM, Concur, AO reporting, DoMo.
- Domain experience working in manufacturing organizations.
