Job Summary :

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Full Stack Developer within our Digital Commerce applications team. Operating within the world’s leading Oral Care Company, we have a number of exciting products in the Direct to Consumer (DTC) and Business to Consumer (B2B2C) space. We are looking for a highly motivated fullstack developer to join our team to help us win in digital commerce.

This role will involve planning, design, development and maintenance of web applications. The ideal candidate has strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, is proficient in modern Javascript frameworks, and has a passion for user experience, code and technology. Candidate should be a self-starter - eager to learn new technologies, delight users, and protect user data through compliance with privacy standards & regulations and implementation of appropriate security safeguards.

The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.

The person should have the ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.

Main Responsibilities :

• Front-End Web Development

• Develop and modify user-facing features for web and mobile applications

• Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

• Improve test coverage of existing code bases

• Collaborate with our lead digital designer and other product team members to translate abstract concepts into visually pleasing designs and bring them to life across our owned digital touchpoints

• Collaborate on & implement best-in-class UX/UI to optimize/improve our digital properties

• Work independently and handle various tasks at the same time in an Agile, team-based environment

• Work efficiently with 3rd party vendors and developers to create, develop, and maintain visually compelling web pages

• Keep current with emerging web design trends and technologies through relevant blogs, community forums, industry events, conferences, etc

• Ecommerce and DTC Expertise

• Work hand in hand with our ecommerce, digital marketing and social media teams to implement engaging content that brings the brands to life across channels

• Participate in usability tests on interface design to insure cross-browser and device compatibility

• Drive best-practices and documentation in support of processes

• Operate with a good sense of purpose and be able to freely operate to bring new experiences to life

• Teamwork and Leadership

• Interface, communicate and coordinate as a part of a collaborative, multi-functional team to meet business objectives and deadlines

• Collaborate with internal partners on online commerce requirements

• Give expert dev advice on how to best bring creative into our projects and make recommendations for improving our online presence as a whole

Who you are

You are an technical architect -

• Strong visualization and design skills, with the ability to bring it to life

• Possess a creative mind with the ability to think outside of the box

• Ability to provide the team with new ideas, asking questions to understand business needs

• Able to handle constructive feedback and offer creative solutions to complex design problems

• Ability to work with various asset management systems, shopping cart systems and ecommerce platforms

• Proficient in interface design tools (such as Figma) and Adobe CS applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver, etc.)

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize responsibilities accordingly

• Enthusiastic about pets

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar field.

• Proficient understanding of web markup

• HTML5, CSS3

• Client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including vanilla Javascript

• Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

• Experience using one or more sophisticated JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as VueJS, AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.

• Solid understanding of Git source code control and branching methodologies, debugging, performance monitoring, benchmarking, logging, and testing tools

• Good experience with test-driven development methodologies

• Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications :

• Knowledge of B2B2C and/or DTC models

• Knowledgeable in the consumer packaged goods industry and/or retail ecommerce

• Understanding various customer journeys (working closely with the CX & UX teams)

• Developing for Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms in working with digital marketing teams (SEO, etc) & agencies supporting A/B testing

• Working in the CPG, Retail or Commerce industries

• Developing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Agile development teams
