Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose

 

The Global Data and Analytics organization at Colgate-Palmolive focuses on driving data, advanced analytics  and AI capabilities enterprise-wide. Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy is a critical vertical and In this pivotal role, you will help strengthen our BI landscape through data unification, standardization, automation and AI-enabled solutions. Collaborating across diverse internal data & Analytics teams, you will drive the adoption of Efficient BI. Beyond technology, you will champion strategic change management, foster communities of practice and lead the upskilling initiatives required to cultivate a world-class data culture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities :

 

  • Define and execute a cohesive global BI strategy , aligning diverse Data & Analytics teams and business stakeholders to ensure a consistent, value-driven framework across the organization

  • Lead a comprehensive audit of the current landscape to identify and eliminate redundancies , Execute strategies for standardization, rationalization and automation to optimize the portfolio for cost efficiency and clarity

  • Partner with Data Governance, Global IT - Data Architecture , platform & delivery teams to drive "Unified Data" initiatives, establishing trusted, reusable data products that eliminate silos and ensure robust governance standards

  • Drive the adoption of enterprise-grade architecture and standard reporting tools across regional & Service teams, transitioning the organization from manual, disparate workflows to automated, scalable reporting solutions

  • Spearhead the adoption of next-gen "AI for BI" capabilities, including Generative AI and NLP and driving the execution of Conversational BI across domains and empowering business stakeholders to interact with data conversationally

  • Demonstrate cross-functional leadership by collaborating with functional leads to manage organizational change, drive tool adoption and upskill teams on modern data best practices

  • Establish and lead a "Global BI Community of Practice" to foster collaboration, share success stories, and break down knowledge silos across regions and functions

 

 

 

 

 

 

Required  Qualifications :

 

  • 10–12 years of experience in Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence with a minimum of 4 years in a strategic leadership or solution architecture role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical field

  • Proven Technical expertise in Enterprise BI platforms (DOMO , Sigma) and modern cloud data architectures (Snowflake, Azure, Databricks or BigQuery)

  • Experience in leading large-scale decommissioning projects or platform migrations that resulted in measurable efficiency gains or cost savings

  • Effective Change Management and communication skills to Influence stakeholders , navigate resistance to change and drive a culture of data literacy

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications :

 

  • Experience within the CPG , FMCG or Retail sectors with a deep understanding of domain-specific data and associated BI & Analytics solutions 

  • Hands-on exposure to AI ML integration with Generative AI, LLMs or predictive modeling into BI workflows (e.g. Text-to-SQL solutions)

  • Demonstrated experience implementing data governance frameworks including Data Catalogs, Lineage and Semantic Layers

  • Strategic Vision with ability to balance immediate operational fixes with long-term architectural planning

  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical leadership
