What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?

 

Colgate-Palmolive is looking for a Data Management Engineering and Architecture leader responsible for implementing and handling the systems and processes that ensure the accuracy, quality, and protection of data within Colgate-Palmolive.

The candidate should be comfortable in playing a lead role towards the evolution of Dat technology deployments across the global footprint.

 

Who are you…

 

You are a function expert -

 

  • Implement our data management and governance technology and tools–including a data catalog and data quality solution–and measure those technologies’ adoption, effectiveness and the overall value it brings to the organization. This includes the design, evaluation, testing, and deployment of enterprise solutions applying multiple technologies, tools, standards, methods and best practices.
  • Evaluate new and upcoming market technology solutions, negotiate for the best terms with vendors for licensing and support
  • Partners with product managers, customers and other collaborators to turn requirements into technical solutions that meet needs and align to enterprise and industry data management standard methodologies.
  • Implement DevOps principles and processes that cover the full operations lifecycle for making continued improvements and providing technological solutions for system functionality and efficiency

  • Your proficiency in handling data governance and data management applications and driving enterprise data maturity, 
  • You will connect the dots by aligning data management Initiatives with overall organizational framework

  • Your expertise and insights as a Data Engineer shall be instrumental in driving the success of our data applications

  • You will spearhead progressive initiatives that push the boundaries of what's possible with data governance and data management.

 

What you’ll need…(Required)

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience in information management or systems is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of data management experience with at least 3 experiences responsible for implementing enterprise data catalog and data quality solutions
  • Experience with delivering a technical metadata repository and integrations with multiple tech stacks.
  • Experience with Collibra, Informatica, Atlan, Alation, Atacama or similar tools required
  • Experience building architecture in hybrid cloud (on-prem, GCP, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Experience with Platform Engineering, Software Development and Infrastructure with programming experience in Java and Python and Integration Development with APIs
  • Deep technical competence with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical partners

 

What you’ll need…(Preferred):
 

  • Strong EA or Data Architecture experience applying industry frameworks and standard methodologies (ex. TOGAF).
