Role Summary:

Manage HR operations, employee services, compliance, and Total Rewards (TR) administration to ensure statutory and policy adherence and a superior employee experience. This role acts as the central point of contact for HR operations, labour and benefits compliance, and reward administration for all employee groups.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Compliance, Labour Law & Audits

  • Act as single point of contact for all HR‑related statutory and labour compliance operations across locations, including:

  • PF, ESIC, gratuity, EDLI, Shops & Establishment, CLRA, minimum wages, and other applicable labour laws.

  • Statutory returns, registers, renewals, inspections, and notices.

  • Partner with labour consultants, external lawyers, and Business HR to ensure ongoing compliance and timely resolution of compliance gaps.

  • Front‑end all Statutory and labour compliance related audits,

  • In partnership with vendors, monitor legislative changes and share with the total Rewards COE recommendations which will help them make the necessary changes to policy/process  to maintain compliance.

 

2. Total Rewards & Benefits Administration

Statutory Bonus & Pay Compliance

  • Coordinate with Payroll and CBS TR to calculate and process statutory bonuses in line with applicable laws.

  • Partner with labour consultants to ensure alignment with minimum wage and other pay‑related regulations.

Insurance & Risk Benefits

  • Act as primary SPOC with insurance brokers/TPAs for group medical, accident, and term life insurances in close partnership with the TR COE. Manage policy renewals, scheme changes, utilization reviews, enrolments/de‑enrolments, and employee grievance resolution.

  • Ensure accurate employee data sharing with insurers and smooth implementation of policy changes or enhancements.

Statutory & Retirement Benefits

  • Oversee administration of gratuity, PF, EDLI, NPS, superannuation, and other statutory and post‑retirement benefits.

  • Handle queries and grievances from current and ex‑employees related to benefits and settlements.

Other Rewards & Perquisites

  • Act as a single point of contact for company car policy administration.

  • Manage Long Service Award and other recognition programs including vendor coordination and communication to employees.

  • Support new launch/awareness communication on benefits or compensation.

 

3. Leave & Time Management

  • Design and publish the annual leave calendar and holiday lists in alignment with legal requirements and business needs.

  • Resolve operational and system issues related to the leave management system (LMS) in partnership with HR Solutions/IT.

  • Provide leave and benefit data for actuarial valuations and other statutory or internal reporting.

 

4. 3P (Third‑Party) Workforce & Vendor Management

  • Oversee end‑to‑end management of the third‑party/contingent workforce in collaboration with vendors and Business HR.

  • Ensure vendor compliance with contractual, legal, and statutory requirements (wages, social security, benefits, documentation, etc.).

  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants for timely submission of compliance documents, attendance, bills, and related records.

 

5. Process Excellence, Systems & Analytics

  • Identify and implement HR process improvements and automation opportunities across HR operations, compliance, and TR administration.

  • Leverage HR systems and analytics (e.g., HR dashboards, reports) to monitor SLAs, turnaround times, error rates, and employee satisfaction.

  • Standardize and document HR processes, SOPs, and workflows to drive consistency and scalability.

 

6. Onboarding, Offboarding & Employment Contracts

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the onboarding and offboarding experience for all employee categories (permanent, FTC, trainees, third‑party, etc.).

  • Draft, review, and maintain all employment templates and letters (offer, appointment, confirmation, probation, extension, transfer, termination, etc.) in consultation with Legal,  external consultants and the business HR

  • Ensure all contractual documentation and joining formalities meet internal policy, statutory, and audit requirements, under guidance from the vendor and Business HR.

 

7. HR Operations & Employee Services

  • Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers for HR policies, benefits, HR systems, and process queries, ensuring timely and high‑quality resolution.

  • Maintain and update local HR portal content (FAQs, policy documents, process guides) to ensure accessible, current HR information.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in HR operations, HR shared services, compliance, and/or Total Rewards/benefits administration.

  • Strong, demonstrated exposure to Indian labour laws, statutory benefits, and experience liaising with labour consultants and statutory authorities.

  • Previous experience in a role requiring people management (coaching, workload planning, and performance management).

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets, Google Studio applications, and HR analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HR systems (e.g., SAP/SuccessFactors Employee Central, Salesforce, LMS, payroll systems).

  • Functional competency in process discipline and high attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

  • Service-oriented mindset coupled with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills (Finance, Legal, vendors, and consultants).
