Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose 

Ready to drive complex R&D projects and shape the future of Personal Care/Home Care categories? Joining our high-reaching team at the IGTech center, you will be independently leading sophisticated development projects and selecting appropriate methods, tests, and procedures. This role involves driving balanced business growth by developing innovative new products and supporting funding the growth programs through cost optimization and new vendor identification. You will be based at the IGTech center and expected to demonstrate innovation with minimal guidance.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Drive balanced growth by developing new innovative products and implementing technology product development projects for all existing and new bundles, from conceptualization to plant implementation.

  • Actively support the funding the growth program by constantly exploring opportunities to optimize cost through formula/process optimization and leading supplier qualification programs for raw materials.

  • Develop and select appropriate methods, tests, and procedures; recommend product quality, process, and/or packaging specifications; and ensure 100% process compliance and accurate documentation.

  • Partner and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization (Marketing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Regulatory/CIC, and other GTCs) to ensure the timely completion of programs.

  • Gain expertise in Personal Care/Home Care fundamentals, independently lead pilot plant activities with a strong focus on EOHS & Quality, and support system implementation at the GTC.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or Pharma or any related field is required.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of industrial experience in formulation development in a reputed FMCG or Pharma company.

  • Demonstrated experience in the development of Oral Care / Personal Care / Home Care Products.

  • Experience in preparation of supporting data related to new product launches/re-launches to ensure smooth technology transfer to the plant.

  • Strong analytical ability and proven result orientation.

     

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or Pharmacy would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge and/or experience specializing in Soap making, Surfactants, Oils & fats is highly preferred.

  • Ability to build formal and informal networks to constantly stay updated with new technology trends and breakthroughs.

  • Strong business insight and end-to-end business understanding by partnering closely with commercial & supply chain functions.
