Job Summary (purpose):
We are looking for a Senior Associate Scientist - Analytical Sciences to join our ambitious team at our IGTeD center. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for end to end planning & implementation in partnership with local & global analytical & product development teams for respective categories for India and other Colgate Zones while being compliant to defined safety, quality & regulatory norms
Main Responsibilities:
Analytical Sciences
- Provide Advanced Analytical expertise to Personal Care and Home Care stability projects, Raw materials, global and local analytical and product development project teams and the manufacturing sites across geographies
- Prioritize and coordinate end-to-end personal stability testing and ensure date is accurate and reported to meet timelines
- Collaborate with Product development scientists on dynamic launch timelines for the Palmolive brands esp. for Europe, AED and India markets, procurement and suppliers for raw material qualifications, root cause analysis and drafting product specifications
- Coordinate with external labs and institutes for advanced analytical techniques
- Analyze raw materials, experimental formulas, finished products, competitive products, and troubleshooting samples. Follow written analytical lab procedures from global, experimental methods and published standard or compendia sources
- Perform Method development, method validations, Tech transfer to plants
- Perform and report the results of routine analysis using Analytical Instrumentation in a cGMP environment
- Maintain, calibrate, qualify and troubleshoot instrumentation. Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory records
- Lead Quality & EOHS standards either independently or as a part of a cross-functional team
Functional Linkages
- Internal: PD/I&S, Microbiology, Technical services, Supply chain, manufacturing units and suppliers.
- External: Global Manufacturing sites, regulatory, global analytical sciences group & Quality Team.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with global counterparts from other technology centers to reach objectives; integrate the international scope of analytical sciences by striking a balance between best practices of standardization and local country requirements.
Operational Excellence
- Demonstrate knowledge in the identified scientific field. Stay abreast of the latest technical developments and breakthroughs by drawing on industry contacts, scientific literature, conferences, and patent filings. Build on technical expertise, expanding it in complementary directions. Use technical expertise and creativity to proactively identify potential problems and address them using appropriate resources.
- Be 100% compliant to all Product Safety, Quality, and Regulatory requirements to operate with cost effectiveness and speed. Practice good documentation practices.
Building Future Ready Agile Organization
- Should handle assigned business programs independently with minimum supervision.
- Should be able to give & seek feedback on an on-going basis by leveraging Colgate’s coaching program and initiatives.
Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc):
- M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic/Organic Chemistry/Bioanalytical or related stream of study)
- Minimum 5-7 yrs experience, with demonstrated success in analytical chemistry research on personal/home care formulations
- Hands on experience of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HPLC-Agilent, GC-Agilent and FTIR
- Working experience in ICH guidelines, cGMP norms, with strength on good documentation practices with strong & unwavering focus on data-integrity
- Perform root cause analyses for non-conformance events related to laboratory testing
- Technology Fundamental, Technology Innovation, Product Safety, Regulatory and Quality, Execution Excellence, Problem Solving and Business Presentation skills.
- Should be able to integrate seamlessly into a high-performing team
- Good knowledge of computer systems and softwares (eLN, LIMS and OpenLab for Agilent enterprise workspace)
