Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose
Are you ready to use your expertise in toxicology to safeguard our products and consumers globally? Joining the Global Product Safety team on a hybrid shift position in Mumbai, you will be providing essential safety support to Toxicologists in the Piscataway office. This critical role involves demonstrating a broad knowledge of toxicology by performing safety clearance reviews for formulas, experimental recipes, and human use protocols to ensure compliance and consumer safety. You will be based in Mumbai and will operate on a shift schedule to overlap with the US-based team.
Responsibilities

Provide safety clearance reviews for new product recipes (formulas), experimental formulas, and formulas being tested in Clinical, Consumer, or Panel studies (Human Use Protocols).

Prepare Product Safety Reports and assist more senior toxicologists by performing formula reviews and comparisons necessary for product registration safety letters and regulatory requests.

Evaluate toxicological and other scientific databases to conduct literature searches that support new raw material safety assessments.

Maintain Compliance Check values within Colgate’s Product Data Management (PDM) system.

Work a shift position to accommodate necessary working-hour overlap with the Global Product Safety team based in Piscataway.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of Toxicology Experience in Industry/consumer products.

Experience in Product Safety/Toxicology with a consumer products, medical device, food, or pharmaceutical company. .
Preferred Qualifications

Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required.

Demonstrated ability in Relationship Building and Effective Execution.

Experience in performing literature searches and evaluating toxicological and scientific databases.
