The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of Colgate's analytic enterprise wide solutions and data engineering, harmonization and ingestion services for Marketing and Customer Development (Sales) across our divisions (Asia Pacific, Africa Eurasia, Europe, North and South America). Solutions development will include external data management, diagnostic reporting and deep dive analysis across different data sources including Retail Market Data, Household Panel Data, POS analysis, Media Spend Data & e-Commerce Data.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Development of scalable data management and reporting solutions to support analytics working with the Global Center of Expertise (COE) and Global Analytics Functional Leads targeting a wide range of data (POS, Nielsen, Household Panel, Media and Internal Financial, Shipment and Inventory data)
  • Working with external data partners to ensure availability of data (defined as per SLA’s)
  • Working with other reporting teams (Worldview/ Division reporting) to understand data requirements
  • Ensure availability of harmonized data for usage (internal consumption) within specified SLA.
  • Validate market data with data providers within specified SLA


Technical Proficiencies -

  • Understanding of external market data - e.g. Nielsen
  • Understanding of marketing terminologies - size, share, distribution etc.
  • Understanding of database concepts (BI)
  • Domain expertise with Analytics tools – R, Python, Tableau, Google Analytics Tools, etc.



  • Build standard reports per agreed to SLAs and respond to ad hoc requests for reporting and first level analysis.
  • Supports market data harmonization process set up and business as usual across all CP countries and categories working with strategic partners as appropriate.
  • Handle market data validation processes and tools and investigate significant differences from what was previously reported.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Divisions and subsidiaries as part of investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Update and lead master data sets.
  • Assist with organizational change needs (e.g., training, communications, etc.) as part of roll-out and ongoing support of market data reporting tools and processes.
  • Ready to work multi-functionally with business partners across geographies


Performance / Skill Criteria




  • Experience with third-party data i.e., syndicated market data, Point of Sales, etc.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (i.e., standard functions – aggregation, pivots, look ups, etc., VBA)
  • Knowledge in Analytical tools like R or Python
  • High level of comfort with large sets of data and attention to detail and passion for accuracy
  • Problem-solver, with analytic thinking and ability to apply root cause analysis
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Good listening and collaboration skills


Good to Have

  • Working knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry
  • Working knowledge in working on different BI tools
  • Worked with multiple data sources like Retail Measurement, Household Panel, Financial Reporting
  • Willingness to experiment with new tools and techniques
  • Good facilitation and project management skills
  • Ability to maintain personal composure and thoughtfully handle difficult situations.
