Job Purpose : 

 

The incumbent is part of the Customer Supply Chain team at the branch, which is a crucial link between the Branch and Head Office Supply Chain. The incumbent supports the CSCM, who is a key member of the Branch Customer Development Team (CDT) to deliver on service levels to customers in an optimized, cost effective manner.  The incumbent will help drive new initiatives & projects that boost performance, giving MIS along with analysis, follow up and highlighting exceptions / areas of concerns. The incumbent supports the CSCM to ensure that the warehouses/transporters in the branch adhere to Colgate’s laid down practices.

 

Job Context & Challenges : 

 

The incumbent supports managing logistics, warehousing and secondary transportation and developing collaborative partnerships with both CP colleagues and suppliers, warehouses & transporters at the branch. Responsibilities include customer service, logistics, forecasting, secondary transportation and minimizing costs, statutory compliances, driving new initiatives and practices. The role requires good communication & networking skills and sound understanding of supply chain processes.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Customer Service : 

  • Help in achieving Customer Service  

  • KPI’s like case fill % , on time % etc

 

Stock Management :

  • Monitoring inventory levels, slow moving, non-moving items & ageing

  • Prioritisation & coordination through central planning cell

  • Inter warehouse transfer (if reqd)

  • MIS to branch sales team

 

Warehousing for a certain set of w/h :

  • Compliance to SOPs and standardization of CFA processes

  • Maintaining high degree of stock accuracy

  • Compliance to Financial processes/SOX

  • Quality Standards Implementation

  • Ensuring safety in warehouse practices

  • Statutory Compliance  - GST, PFA, FDA, Local regulatory bodies

  • SRSA compliance

  • Visual Workplace

  • Cost optimization

  • Space Management

  • Continuous review of distribution network and CFA performance and changes (if reqd)

 

Transportation for a certain set of w/h : 

  • Ensure delivery of customer service within secondary freight cost budget 

  • Route Planning – Fixed Day Dispatch (FDD)

  • Continuous review and reduction of transit times 

  • Timely receipt of PODs

  • Performance evaluation of service providers

  • Reduce inter warehouse transfer cost

 

New Initiatives : 

  • Lead role in VMI Implementation for the branch

  • Adopt newer concepts and practice to improve supply chain performance                                                                       

  • Readiness for changing environment

 

Experience Required : 

Essential: Stints in various supply chain functions

 

Experience Preferred: -

Should have minimum 1 year of experience.
