Job Purpose:

Drive business growth through sharper insights on consumer, culture and category; build a future ready agile marketing organization through foresight and experimentation.  

Job Context and Challenges:

The challenge is to get future ready and transform the insights organisation. Traditional approaches to research are not yielding results. As an organization we want to be multi source in approach therefore holistic and not siloed, agile and relevant in the sense of new consumer touch points and data sources. 

Functional Linkages :

Hierarchical and Functional linkages:  The position will report to the Head – Consumer Insights India. Our expectation is this person should be able to take his manager’s position in 2-3 years’ time. This position will require working closely with the India Marketing team, Division CMI team and India Planning team (agency planning). 

External:  Agencies- conventional insights companies (eg Nielsen), new tech companies (eg Toluna), analytics companies like Fractal etc. 

Key Accountabilities (A collection of duties and/or responsibilities assigned) 
1. Drive insights based IMC/ communication     

•    Imbibe insights and consumer journey understanding in development of all IMC/ TV copy or digital content. 
•    Articulate campaign KPIs from brief and stay true to measuring them
2.    Drive foresight process    

•    Develop and drive a foresight process through which we will monitor emerging trends in category/ culture and consumer
•    Synthesise these insights and drive a quarterly engagement with stakeholders
3.    New Methodologies  and approaches experimentation    

•    Identify newer approaches/ data sources for more effective in sighting
•    Find ways to tie up from multi source rather than depend on standard and single sources 
4.    Brand/ segment and category insights leadership    

•    Leads specific brands/ segment or category insights across all P’s


Experience : (Min 10 years)
•   Agency experience 5-6 years 
•   Consumer Insights experience in marketing lead organisation/s for min 4-6 years

•   3-4 years in consumer product/new tech companies 
•   Active involvement in advertising/ communication either in account planning

Education: Graduate/MBA/ MSc Statistics will be preferred.
