Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

Hours for this position are 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, following a 2-2-3 schedule. Flexibility is required to occasionally work different shifts to provide coverage for business needs.

 

 

Manufacturing and Operations:

Be a vital part of Colgate-Palmolive's team. You'll operate and maintain cutting-edge automated equipment, performing changeovers and minor maintenance (making, finishing) through computer terminals. You'll also troubleshoot as needed, ensuring seamless production.

 

 

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Excel in ensuring product quality with meticulous sampling and statistical controls. Complete all compliance documentation accurately, maintaining GMPs and FDA standards to uphold Colgate-Palmolive's excellence.

 

 

Logistics and Housekeeping:

Manage product preparation and shipping coordination with warehouse and distribution teams. Keep your work area clean and organized, adhering to our housekeeping standards.

 

 

Continuous Improvement and Learning:

Drive innovation through continuous improvement tools like 5 Whys and RCA. Share knowledge and enhance skills within the team, supporting ongoing learning and performance reviews.

 

 

Safety and Customer Focus:

Prioritize safety and compliance with environmental and occupational standards. Address internal and external customer needs, supporting key stakeholders and major retailers efficiently.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED


 

Technical Experience:

  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, military, or relevant production operations.

  • Ability to adhere to safety and EOHS standards, utilizing all personal protective equipment.


 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for 8 - 12 hours per shift.

  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and reach for extended periods.

  • Capable of lifting and moving boxes, totes, and bags weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must wear all required personal protective equipment.

  • Able to ascend and descend ladders and stairs.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational or Technical Degree

  • Experience in FDA-regulated environments and with OSHA standards.

  • Skills in performing equipment changeovers (make-ready) and conducting quality checks or audits.

  • Application of Continuous Improvement Tools and problem-solving techniques.

  • Experience in training others and achieving production goals.

  • Conducting team meetings and preparing production reports.

  • Familiarity with using SAP modules and Microsoft Office for production planning and decision-making collaboration.

 

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $22.64 - $23.49 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
