In this HR role, you will be responsible for driving the people and culture strategy within our Morristown, TN site. This role reports into the HRD, North America E2E and will partner with our manufacturing site leadership team. As an HR leader, this role will support select people initiatives across the site as well as deliver function responsibilities within talent and performance management, learning and development, employee relations, recruitment, organizational design, and change management. This role is a critical driver for ensuring an inclusive and impactful workplace!

 

Responsible for:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to functional leaders, coordinating team and shop floor employees related to HR processes and strategies for the site
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders on key business decisions
  • Participate with functional leaders and others as necessary to develop and implement strategic organization plans, strategic labor relations plans, and near and long term resource / staffing plans
  • Work jointly with the Division HR Supply Chain Director to evaluate the people impact of organizational plans and/or programs for future organizational effectiveness
  • Partner with the various CoHRE and CBS teams on HR processes (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning, etc.)

 
Talent  Management:

  • Advise and coach business leaders on interpretation of HR policies or topics impacting leadership effectiveness and business results
  • Coach team members in the areas of communication skills, career paths, promoting a positive work environment through formal and informal feedback sessions
  • Co-own all talent management (Career Development, Talent Planning, Performance Management) programs together with functional leaders
  • Guide and support managers in the performance enhancement process
  • Support leadership development by working together with Business Leaders to identify current and projected leadership and functional capability gaps and to develop solutions to improve
  • Manage "People Capabilities" Standard in compliance with the Colgate Palmolive Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R) program
  • Ensure on-boarding and assimilation processes for new employees confirms alignment with organization’s vision and culture and achieves their ability to quickly contribute to the organization’s goals


Employee Relations:

  • Serve as an employee advocate by establishing workforce relationships 
  • Coach and support leaders’ capabilities to create and maintain a positive employee relations work environment
  • Establish proactive and responsive channels of communication to understand the pulse of the organization
  • Advise and coach managers and supervisor on the resolution of employee inquiries and issues, consulting with Legal as needed
  • Ensure effective, consistent administration of Human Resources policies and guidelines
  • Coordinate employee transfers, conduct exit interviews, and provide recommendations for corrective action policy revision and/or improving employee and labor relations.
  • Champion the company’s Ethical Leadership standards, behaviors and compliance
  • Partner with the Diversity and Inclusion CoHRE to implement relevant local initiatives
  • Monitor HR compliance on-site, including 3rd party contractors
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team, managers and supervisors on employee engagement initiatives
  • Represent the company in outside community activities

 
Compensation:

  • Lead annual salary planning and merit forecasting process for the site; run reports to analyze execution; follow up with managers as needed.
  • Partner with CHORE in preparing an annual wage/salary survey for factory technicians to assess and understand pay position in local market; present any recommended wage change actions, and secure approvals to execute
  • Partner with CBS on bonus submission and compensation offer process

 
  Administration:

  • Ensure HR data is accurate and updated in SAP-HR and payroll systems
  • Analyze and/or prepare a variety of reports concerning the Human Resource function and key performance indicators necessary to communicate, educate or inform.
  • Lead recruitment activities and assessment & selection processes to timely fill vacant positions.
  • Utilize Global Recruitment Management System / Success Factors system to manage position requisitions, job postings, candidate sourcing, and applicant data.

 
Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree required (HR, Business, Management or related field)
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resource experience 
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Experience in one or more HR Specialty Area (Compensation, Benefits, People Relations, People Development, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, Analytics, Organization Development/Design)
  • Strong project management, presentation, and facilitation skills required
  • Proficiency with Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree preferred (HR, Business, Management or related field)
  • Professional Certifications: PHR/SPHR/GPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
  • Proficiency with SAP-HR and Success Factors systems
  • Experience in manufacturing operations management outside of Human Resources
     

Salary Range $125,600 - $175,000 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive
