Job Purpose 

They oversee and manage the use of organizations' finances, including cash flow, asset and liability levels, and credit and investment income.

 

Key Accountabilities 

 

Banking Administration

  • The management and control of: 
    • i.e. changing of bank signatories, liaising with legal to get board resolutions etc. 
    • Know your customer updates

Timely postings 

  • Ensure timely posting of each subsidiary’s transactions

Negotiation Skills

  • Negotiate banking facilities, bank charges and interest rates

Compliance 

  • Manage Sarbarnes Oaxley files and ensure compliance for all subs
  • Complete exchange control applications
  • Submission of documents for Merchanting transactions 
  • Manage and provide support for Internal  & External Audits 

Reporting

  • Quarterly FD Attestation
  • Quarterly Division reporting requirements

Payments

  • Timely uploading of payments in the banking portals
  • Track Citibank payments in SAP
  • Ensure payments are released on time 
  • Timely submission of Foreign Payments schedules to the bank  
  • Ensure sufficient cash on hand for ZA11 Payments

Bank debits and Reconciling 

  • Ensure that subsidiaries are advised of all RD cheques and EFT customer funds that have been returned
  • Ensure that all direct bank debits are charged to the correct vendor accounts
  • Ensure that all reconciling items on bank recons are actioned on a timely basis

Monthly & weekly deadlines 

  • Ensure that monthly closing deadlines are met for all bank related transactions 
  • Ensure that weekly Cash flow analysis are done 
  • Ensure Month end Cash forecast is completed
  • Managing the MDM Bank data validation process 
  • Overseeing day-to-day Banking financial activities
  • Any adhoc treasury related tasks 


Required Qualifications 

  • B.Com Finance/Accounting Degree
  • Minimum of one year in a corporate finance environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in line with established guidelines.

  • Analytical Skills

  • Computer literacy, especially  SAP and Microsoft Office programs
