Role Purpose
In today’s constantly evolving environment, Digital Transformation is a top priority at Colgate-Palmolive. We are seeking a high-energy, strategic leader for the role of Search & Web Management Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
This role is responsible for driving outstanding consumer experiences across our brand ecosystem in SSA to build brand equity and accelerate commerce. You will own the holistic search strategy (SEO/SEM) and web management roadmap, working with relevant stakeholders/agency partners to ensure our brands are discoverable, relevant, and high-performing across the digital landscape.
Scope of Responsibilities

Regional Leadership: Define and lead the Website and Search strategic roadmap for all brands across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Strategic Liaison: Serve as the primary regional point of contact for Global Digital and IT teams, ensuring SSA needs are prioritized in the global roadmap while maintaining alignment with corporate standards.

Agency Management: Oversight of external agency partners, content management hubs, and IT resources.
Ecosystem Integration: Align web and search strategies with the broader consumer journey, including DTC, Professional (B2B) sites, and retail media touchpoints
Core Responsibilities
1. Search & Discoverability Strategy (SEO & SEM)

Lead the end-to-end Search strategy (Organic and Paid Search synergy) to ensure Colgate-Palmolive brands dominate the "digital shelf."

Partner with agencies to execute technical SEO, keyword research, and content optimization to drive high-intent traffic.

Oversee the integration of search insights into the broader content strategy to capture consumer interest across the "See-Think-Do-Care" journey.

2. Web Management & User Experience (UX/UI)

Own the SSA website roadmap; prioritize workstreams based on business impact and resource availability.

Direct the optimization of website user experience, including navigation, webpage design, site speed, and mobile-first functionality.

Oversee the Content Management workflow, orchestrating Product Detail Page (PDP) development between brand teams and offshore hubs to ensure best-in-class execution.
3. Analytics, Measurement & Optimization

Define and monitor regional KPIs for web performance and search health (e.g., Domain Authority, Share of Search, Conversion Rates).

Develop a robust learning agenda; foster a "test-and-learn" mindset through A/B testing and UX research.

Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership to drive investment decisions.
4. Budget & Resource Governance

Own the regional budget for web initiatives and search agencies, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters.

Manage agency SLAs and performance reviews to ensure maximum ROI on digital investments.

Ensure strict compliance with data privacy (POPIA/GDPR) and corporate security standards across all digital properties.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years specifically in website management and search engine strategy.

Technical Skills: * Expertise in SEO/SEM tools (Google Search Console, SEM Rush, BrightEdge, Google Ads).

Strong proficiency in Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio).

Deep understanding of CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager preferred), HTML/CSS basics, and UX/UI principles.
