MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:


-  Cross functional collaboration with all internal stakeholders

-  Documenting and updating payroll policies and procedures

-  Ensure that company policies are adhered to ESS Adminitsrtaion

-  Resolving all payroll discrepancies.

-  Submit Expatriate quarterly and annual reporting to New York

-  Assist with Expatriate queries

-  Liaise with outsourcing payroll provider for payroll processing

-  Liaise with tax service provider for completion of Expatriates’ income tax returns

-  EMP201 Statutory Returns submission to SARS

-  EMP501 Reconciliation process and submission to SARS

-  Proficient with SARS E@syfile Software

-  SARS Tax Directives for stock options and as required

-  Ex-Pat Quarterly , annual reporting and Month end reporting 

-  Month end third party reconciliations for medical aids, funeral funds, retirement funds, group risk, unions, garnishee and maintenance orders amongst others

-  Pension and provident fund reconciliations on third party portals where applicable

-  SOX compliance testing and SOX design process flows

-  Periodically assist in audit testing

-  Purchase orders on SAP for payments to third parties

-  Assist with General Ledger reconciliation discrepancies


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


-  Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Human Resources Management, Finance, or Business.

-  Certified Payroll Professional Designation (Preferred)

-  Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in payroll or similar role

-  Solid financial acumen and strong accounting background

-  Advanced Payroll Tax knowledge and relevant experience

-  Strong working knowledge of relevant tax legislation, employment conditions and Bargaining Councils (advantageous)

-  Experience in dealing with Expats Solid experience with PAYE, E-filing, Easyfile and Emp501 reconciliation
