Role Purpose

The Data Measurement, CCX & PCX Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa is a high-impact leadership role at Colgate-Palmolive, dedicated to transforming how we engage with both consumers (CCX) and professionals (PCX) across the region.

You will lead the strategy for data acquisition, measurement, and activation, ensuring that every digital interaction—whether with a shopper or a dental professional—is tracked, analyzed, and optimized. This role acts as the regional architect of our data-driven ecosystem, bridging the gap between technical infrastructure and commercial growth.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Regional Data Stewardship: Act as the primary custodian of consumer and professional data models for SSA, ensuring data integrity, privacy compliance (POPIA/GDPR), and global alignment.

  • Unified Experience (CCX/PCX): Oversee the strategic integration of Consumer Experience and Professional Experience (e.g., dental professionals) into a single, cohesive data and marketing automation framework.

  • Advanced Measurement: Establish a "gold standard" for digital measurement, moving beyond basic vanity metrics to deep commercial attribution and ROI analysis.

  • Team Leadership & Influence: Lead cross-functional squads—including agencies, Global Information Technology (GIT), and Business Intelligence—to deliver scalable marketing technology solutions.

Core Responsibilities

1. Data Strategy & Platform Governance

  • Lead the evolution of the Salesforce Ecosystem (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Health Cloud) to meet SSA acquisition and retention targets.

  • Define the roadmap for data collection across all touchpoints (Web, CRM, DTC, and Professional Portals).

  • Ensure "Run and Operate" excellence for marketing technologies, serving as the final authority on solution design and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

2. Performance Analytics & Data Measurement

  • Partner with Business Intelligence (BI) teams to build comprehensive dashboards that track the holistic consumer/professional journey.

  • Integrate diverse data sets—including Syndicated Data (Nielsen), Retailer POS Data, and 1st Party Data—to provide a 360-degree view of business performance.

  • Drive the "Measurement Framework" for SSA, setting KPIs for acquisition costs, lifetime value (LTV), and engagement health.

3. CCX & PCX Activation

  • Develop data-driven segmentation strategies to deliver personalized content to consumers and dental professionals at scale.

  • Architect the "Professional-to-Consumer" referral loop, ensuring that professional recommendations (PCX) are captured and nurtured within the consumer ecosystem (CCX).

  • Oversee the functional requirements for new digital tools, ensuring they solve specific SSA market challenges while remaining globally compliant.

4. Strategic Business Partnering

  • Translate complex data insights into actionable commercial recommendations for the SSA Leadership Team.

  • Facilitate "Test-and-Learn" agendas to optimize media spend and CRM effectiveness.

  • Manage regional agency relationships specifically focused on data management and marketing automation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Honours degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science).

  • Experience: * Minimum 8 years of experience in Digital Marketing, CRM, or Business Intelligence within the FMCG or Healthcare sector.

    • Proven track record in managing complex data ecosystems and marketing technology (MarTech) stacks.

    • Experience working across diverse African markets is highly advantageous.

  • Technical Proficiency: * Salesforce Expert: Deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud.

    • Analytics: Mastery of Google Analytics 4, Tableau/Looker Studio, and SQL.

Data Literacy: Advanced understanding of data architecture, API integrations, and 1st/3rd party data dynamics
