CBS Sr. Accounting & Reporting Analyst

Location: Mexico City

 

Are you ready to elevate your career and drive financial excellence for a purpose-driven global brand? As the Senior R2R Analyst, you will play a pivotal role within CBS Mexico, safeguarding the financial integrity and compliance of complex legal entities supporting Hill's Pet Nutrition. In this highly visible position, you will own the end-to-end month-end close cycle, formulate strategic management reporting packages, and coordinate seamlessly with global and local finance leadership. By transforming raw financial data into impactful strategic insights and championing global continuous improvement projects, you will directly influence the operational success of our business.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Financial Governance: Lead and review formal Balance Sheet Review Meetings with local financial stakeholders to ensure overall reconciliation health and proactive risk mitigation.

  • Month-End Optimization: Orchestrate critical month-end close activities and own the preparation of complex Management Financial Statements (including CFN and 10K corporate reporting) for operationally complex entities.

  • Strategic Reporting: Compile executive management reporting packages, providing deep-dive variance analysis, root-cause insights, and clear commentary on financial deviations for leadership teams.

  • Internal Controls & Quality Assurance: Champion continuous improvements in General Ledger (GL) analysis, ensuring strict adherence to global R2R quality standards, standard operating check-sheets, and SOX compliance.

  • Project Leadership: Act as a key contributor and project manager for regional or global Record-to-Report digital transformation and process optimization initiatives.

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or Record-to-Report (R2R) cycles.

  • Language: Advanced English proficiency (both written and oral) with the ability to effectively communicate financial narratives to global stakeholders.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel capabilities, including hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting macros.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • System Expertise: Familiarity with SAP ecosystem automation, including SAP scripting or related ERP tools.

  • Business Intelligence & Reporting: Experience utilizing BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) or data visualization tools such as DOMO and Google Looker Studio.

  • Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to independently design and deliver high-impact ad-hoc financial deep-dives for corporate leadership.
