Performance Media Lead


We are seeking a seasoned performance marketer to lead full-funnel strategy, from integrated marketing campaigns and other top-funnel initiatives to omnichannel conversion. This person will build a strong data-oriented media performance practice and be able to execute plans that are rooted in consumer understanding, deployed across the full range of digital channels. The role will need to connect brand strategy and activation to commerce initiatives, working within the IBE (Impactful Brand Experience) Team and with Brand and eCommerce teams. 


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead development of integrated annual strategy and investment plans that deliver on brand and business objectives, while ensuring that integrated media strategies for all categories are fully aligned to ensure delivery of full-funnel outcomes.
  • Manage always-on and IMC media strategies for one category that discoveres new audiences and nurtures them into purchase and loyalty stages. Lead integration of media plans that engage brand customers while delivering on traffic and conversion KPIs.
  • Provide expertise in managing channels across social, search, programmatic, offline and other platforms in planning and executing paid media strategy.
  • Allocate budgets and analyze and recommend modifications to ad spends.
  • Approve and oversee campaign execution as well as agile optimization and reporting.
  • Ensure that plans are developed according to consumer experience principles.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to guide A/B tests and test-and-learns.
  • Manage JBPs to maximize values, while ensuring spend levels.
  • As needed, provide guidance on Search and CRM strategy.
  • Work as an ambassador for performance-led thinking within the marketing team, partnering with brand leads on specific campaigns to move to funnel-led planning and execution.



  • Evolve our Audience Planning approach to maximize available signals, data sources (first-, second- and third-party) to create personalized communication plans.
  • Bring experience in audience management and segmentation for the development of personalized and 1:1 communications.
  • Maximize available measurement tools for benchmarking and setting targets across all media workstreams, leveraging dashboards to optimize mid-flight and between campaigns.
  • Maximize 1pd collection and utilization across workstreams.



  • Shape media workflow to reflect the company’s media principles of performance, personalization and full-funnel planning. 
  • Manage agency and resources across IMC and always-on workstreams.
  • Steer agency workflow to ensure media and creative integration from strategy and execution to optimization.



  • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital performance marketing or media, on client or agency side 
  • Leadership / Team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, mass communications or other advertising subjects preferred
  • Experience in media and campaign planning 
  • Knowledge of digital media planning and buying on platforms such as Adwords, Facebook, DV360, 3rd Party Networks
  • Experience with programmatic media & ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape
  • Performance-driven and direct-response minded when it comes to concepting and optimizing performance creative
  • Highly adept at reading campaign data and finding opportunities to optimize 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Team player while being a self-starter
  • Able to keep refreshing and evolving knowledge of digital marketing and advertising platforms
  • Aware of the total digital ecosystem and channels, not just paid media in silo
  • Ability to analyse data and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders
