It is an exciting time to be part of Colgate-Palmolive's Global Tax Team!  Colgate-Palmolive is currently recruiting a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Manager, Tax Planning & Support.  This position will report directly to the Director, Senior Tax Counsel (the “Director”).  Position responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Provide tax support on M&A and internal restructuring transactions including quantitative analysis of tax impact in alternative transaction scenarios and preparation of transaction step documents;
  • Partner with Colgate’s Treasury team and provide tax support in relation to the cross-border flow of funds such as dividend remittances and intercompany loans as well as maintain the company’s "Previously Taxed Earnings and Profits" (PTEP) schedule;
  • Prepare all required disclosures to be filed with the federal income tax return. Disclosures include, but are not limited to, sections 351 & 368 statements, DCL statements and gain recognition agreements (GRAs);
  • Coordinate with Colgate’s Accounting team and play a key role with respect to intercompany billing and documentation matters;
  • Conduct tax research and provide technical support to Tax department personnel, as needed;
  • Review and comment on various external business agreements from a tax perspective;
  • Stay informed of international tax computations in the financial statement tax provision including, but not limited to, GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credit utilization, etc. to identify potential planning opportunities;
  • Assist with IRS audit defense;  
  • Stay current in pertinent areas of the U.S. tax rules and share knowledge with the Tax department;
  • Coordinate with non-US tax leaders in analyzing and implementing corporate initiatives from a US tax perspective as well as addressing questions in relation to various countries’ anti-hybrid and GAAR legislations. 

 

This position will require contact and the establishment of strong working relationships with the Company’s Corporate departments (primarily Financial Reporting, Legal and Treasury), Division and Subsidiary management personnel. The position incumbent must be able to work effectively with all relevant departments to find solutions that are best from a global perspective. The selected candidate must also have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as willingness to learn. International travel may be required from time-to-time. It is also necessary for the individual to maintain the required level of continuing education to satisfy this position’s professional requirements.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of 7 years of overall tax experience with a heavy concentration in international tax;
  • Exposure to transfer pricing and M&A; 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelors in Accounting preferred;
  • Master’s degree in taxation preferred; JD or LLM a plus.

Salary Range:  $120,720 - $158,445 USD

Pay is based on several non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location.  In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
