And we’re looking for a new Tom’s activist to join our passionate team to support our brand marketing team.

 

The Brand Assistant is responsible for supporting the brand marketing teams across both oral and personal care. Reporting into the Sr. Brand Manager, key areas of responsibilities include coordinating go-to-market processes to launch new products or product changes, analyzing market and financial data to supervise brand, category and competitive performance, and acting as the business lead for the Canadian market. 

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

Supports the brand marketing team by:

  • Coordinating go-to-market process to support new product launches, product simplification, packaging updates etc:

    • Lead execution of brand assets and gain cross-functional input and approval (systems used include BEAT, Stibo PXM, and Salsify). 

    • Support brand managers to develop retailer-facing selling materials, sale samples and communication to sales. 

    • Supervise websites and e-commerce product pages and coordinate changes required to keep content accurate.

    • Coordinate legal review of content and contracts for approval.

    • Coordinate supply chain integration and manage Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP) system requests (briefs, managing next steps, and timelines).

  • Analyze market and financial data to monitor brand, category and competitive performance:

    • Conduct monthly Nielsen and Numerator analysis. Share-out report to the rest of the organization and note areas of risk and opportunities. 

    • Support brand marketing team with ad hoc analysis as required.

    • Monitor and track category initiatives and competitive performance and share discoveries of external trends.

    • Track performance of new items, both for Tom’s and competitors. 

    • Track volume impact of pricing changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred

  • 3+ years of professional experience packaged goods / CPG marketing or relevant business environment

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to adopt change; willingness to be flexible

  • Highly collaborative and comfortable with working with cross-functional teams and various levels of management.

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $81,000.00 - $114,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
