Corporate Vet. Business Account Manager.
If you are passionate about our company mission, we invite you to apply for the position of Business Account Manager (BAM) for our Vet Channel, based from Kansas City. As a BAM for Hill's Pet Nutrition, you will assume headquarter customer management responsibilities for our Vet Sponsored Home Delivery Customers and other Corporate Customers, which will include up to 50% overnight travel.
The primary responsibilities for this role include Implementing Hill’s Retail Environment & Hill’s Masterbrand digital strategies to grow market share and brand recommendation within the total customers eCommerce ecosystem. In addition, this role must develop and execute customer specific 6P plans to achieve Hill’s commercial goals of net sales, share, and margin, while spending within gross-to-net guidelines. BAMs at this level will focus on larger, and more complex eCommerce customers based on higher net sales, demand for increased new clients / pet parents, larger geographical footprint, stronger marketplace influence, higher customer digital sophistication, and other customer complexities within the customers eCommerce ecosystem . Strong leadership is needed to engage customers at the highest level with strategic plans aligned to Hill’s overall eCommerce digital strategy.
The primary responsibilities include:

Taking an active role cross-functional teams on all of the below key areas:
-
Develops, executes and monitors the 6P plans versus goal for key Hill’s customers at varying levels of revenue and complexity
-
Develops and maintains process/plan to analyze the customer’s business
-
Evaluates business trends, shopper insights and learning from post analysis of executed activities, which includes high utilization of customer consumption and other available data
-
Develops and executes customer meetings to influence support of Hill’s Go-to-Market digital plans with the customer (minimum (2) per month)
-
Develops and executes annual digital strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the commercial goals
-
Engages customer on category growth expectations

Provides guidance to the Corporate Vet Team on eCommerce digital best practices and launch processes to go online effectively

Customizes specific shopper programs with Hill’s shopper marketing, leveraging Hill’s brand strategies to drive incremental retail sales

Execute sales plans and resolve issues through both the customer and internal commercial teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations

Builds and maintains Atlas Planner to reflect baseline sales and promotion plans, including the management of customer payments

Develops category and brand solutions for each customer that will drive the Hill’s business
-
Collaborates with Hill’s BDM, Vet eCommerce & Retail Marketing teams to execute the Hill’s retail environment and digital brand strategy within investment guidelines

Drives forward actions in monthly customer planning meetings to review actuals plus plan-to-go with manager, BDM & Finance

Education/ Experience Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
-
BS/BA degree or higher
-
Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry (Including combination of progressive roles of field sales, corporate sales, marketing, finance and/or customer service)

Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing key accounts/headquarter accounts
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in eCommerce customer management and/or digital marketing
Expected Areas of Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Strong digital marketing competencies

Strong computer skills in Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc) and/or MS Excel, Word, etc.in Excel, Word, Power Point

Excellent business presentation ability and a skilled communicator

Strong influence and negotiations skills for win-win solutions with persistence, compromise, and respect

Adept at finding common ground, identifying vital interests, and understanding the customer’s underlying priorities

Strong analytical skills to develop 6P recommendations that result in optimized consumption based on consumption data, shopper and consumer insights

Manages ambiguity and strategize solutions for the customer’s business and 6P plan performance and quickly develop alternative plans as needed

Works effectively across functions, channels, and categories to align priorities, solve problems, optimize resources, and drive effective execution

Please consider that this position at this moment is based in Topeka, KS, but in the next months Hill´s Is moving to the Kansas City Area in Overland Park.
Salary Range $107,760 - $158,445 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
