**Please note - This contract position is a 6 months temporary role**
Global Design is the creative, visionary team responsible for the Colgate-Palmolive global portfolio of products which are found in 75% of every home in the world. We have over 20 brands in five categories – Home Care, Oral Care, Personal Care, Skin Health and Pet Care. Our deliverables range from the emotional components of a brand (look, tone and feel, brand identity) to the visual identity (product and package design, digital, video and photo production) for all of our brands. We are design obsessed.
We're looking for a 6 month Temporary Regional Design / Integration Manager who will be responsible for the development, adaptation and integration of creative deliverables, cross category (Home, Personal & Oral Care) within the AEA region in partnership with the Global Heads of Design, H/PC & EOC respectively and the Division Marketing team. The ideal candidate is an experienced brand design professional with a strong grasp of creative processes, excellent communication skills, and has experience working within a CPG.
Key Responsibilities :-
Brand / Package Design:
- Responsible for managing the look and feel of our Regional Home Care, Personal Care and select Oral Care brands, ensuring Global brand consistency is maintained on Home Care, Personal Care and Oral Care brands across the AED Region
- Drive the development, adaptation and implementation of design for select brands.
- Strong understanding of Brand Design fundamentals, advocate for accuracy and
- very detail-oriented
- Assist in maintaining global brand consistency by contributing to and adhering to brand governance frameworks
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Packaging, Engineering, and Insights, to align design strategies.
- Close collaboration with Design Managers, Artwork Coordinators, and External Partners [Design Agencies, Comp Providers, & Print Suppliers] for seamless development and execution of packaging design Master Bundles throughout the project life-cycle
- Work closely with Global Heads of Design (EOC & H/PC) providing input and support to ensure design initiatives reflect the global brand vision
Project, Resource & Integration Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of design projects managing tasks within defined schedules and budgets.
- Support the creation of Design Briefs and Project Plans, ensuring high standards in packaging and other brand experience projects.
- Drive packaging excellence end-to-end with internal and external partners including a firm grasp of executional skills in print and packaging execution.
- Collaborate with external creative partners, such as agencies, photographers, and illustrators, to maintain quality and consistency in design work.
- Attend Print Trials & Key Marketing Meetings as needed (25% Travel)
Communication and Influence:
- Effectively communicate and execute design vision and strategy to internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key Requirements :-
- Bachelor's Degree in Design or a related field required.
- 7+ years exp with Packaging design systems (esp. packaging adaptation
- projects)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, GSuite, and other relevant design software/tools,
- Portfolio of work showcasing design CPG expertise and design strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful design strategies.
- Strong knowledge of printing processes
- Strong understanding of the design process from concept to execution.
- Laser sharp project management skills.
- Digital design experience is very welcome
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in working both autonomously and within a team.
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration.
- Meticulous attention to detail, excellent typography & color management skills.
- Inspire and contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Flexible, open team player with a positive attitude and ability to work autonomously in a Global context.
