Summary job description:
The LCMS Specialist is responsible for sample preparation and performing vitamin chemical testing using LC MS/MS technology and results administration for Hills Hustopeče and Hill's Etten Leur (EL), Desenzano, La Normandise (LaN) and Ospelt manufacturing plants.
The LCMS Specialist is responsible for performing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance of testing with Hill's/CP standards and guidelines, method validation and equipment qualification.
Job responsibility:
- Planning and performance of chemical analysis of raw materials and finished products using LCMS/MS.
- Coordination and prioritization of analyzes in the Hustopeče laboratory to ensure timely implementation of analyzes for the plant in EL/Desenzano, LaN, Ospelt.
- Reporting and administration of laboratory results and their protocol handover to the EL/Desenzano, LaN, Ospelt plants.
- Communication with the quality departments of the EL/Desenzanu plant, LaN, Ospelt. (recording and communication of results, organization of sample transport).
- Ensuring and coordinating the transport of samples between the EL/Desenzano, LaN, Ospelt and Hustopeče plants.
- Maintenance of laboratory area and equipment and analytical equipment in the factory.
- Qualification of laboratory equipment, cooperation on training and qualification of new employees.
- Orders for laboratory material and services (external analyses); managing equipment and ordering chemicals and consumables.
- Maintaining and improving procedures/work instructions for sampling and analytical methods (laboratory and factory).
- Conducts investigations at plant and laboratory level to support improvement activities in food quality and safety programs.
- Application of statistical methods and technical knowledge for researching quality (analytical) performance and establishing improvement plans.
- Carrying out all tasks and activities in accordance with GMP and safety rules.
- Uses laboratory safety equipment and understands precautions when working with reagents and handling waste according to local regulations.
- Solves basic problems with laboratory equipment.
- Participates (physically analyzes samples and statistically processes results) in round tests.
- Performs recording of results and evaluation of raw materials, intermediate products and final products in EIS SAP
- LCMS Specialist is responsible for preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Represents laboratory technicians/chemists in the area of performing analyses.
- LCMS Specialist collaborates on the development of new analytical methods and the introduction of new equipment in the laboratory
Qualifications:
University (bachelor/master's degree) preferably in a chemical (analytical) field.
Alternative: food technology, food chemistry, working knowledge of HPLC, LC MS, certification with relevant experience, training and clearly identifiable interest in laboratory procedures and testing, systematic and thorough. Familiarity with statistical data evaluation methods is an advantage
Work experience:
- 2-3 years of experience preferably in an analytical laboratory
