Job Description:

Lead Commercial sourcing activities to support internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficiencies and optimization in the category. The position is responsible for promoting the utilization of procurement methodology through brand, category management and strategic sourcing activities. 

 

Primary responsibilities include supporting Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and all Commercial leads in the areas of Advertising production, Agency fee management, working media, Digital, eCommerce, Promotion and Customer Development initiatives

 

Key responsibilities

 

Relationships and Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strong partnerships with category stakeholders to elevate the procurement role on delivering against business priorities.

  • Engage senior leaders when there is a need to escalate issues and drive internal and external partnering.

  • Connect regularly with Corporate and other division IP Commercial Leaders

  • Lead the APAC Indirect Procurement Commercial team to  enforce category governance and facilitate sharing of Best Practices. 

  • Manage ethical and professional relationships with vendors.

  • Elevate partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, resilience, total value via customer of choice approach.

  • Lead Strategic supplier T2T engagements and drive the SRM program with identified supplier partners

 

Strategy

  • Develop and adapt to APAC a clear multi year category strategy and execution plan, including all aspects of total value, including innovation, sustainability, resilience, total cost optimization

  • Leads and oversees a  roll-out IP Advertising strategies for Advertising Production, Agency Fee Management, Working Media, and Media Partnerships at a regional and  local level

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and agency partners to develop the local Advertising value tracking mechanism and report FTG savings/added value

  • Leads and executes Advertising value/costs audits. Provides recommendations and builds plans for continuing improvement and optimization of Advertising plans

  • Partners with IMC/Digital leads to establish agencies’ evaluation process as well as a feedback mechanism for continuous improvement

  • Negotiate Division strategic supplier contracts and support and track key Savings and Growth initiatives

  • Deliver/exceed the annual savings goals

  • Identify and assess category risks, develop/support risk mitigation plans

  • Define APAC total value metrics and tracking methodology for key supplier relationships

 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation and efficiency across managed spend

  • Develop and implement any related process improvement in the category.

  • Contributor to the company’s sustainability initiatives and goals.

  • Drive relevant IP transformation and innovation initiatives across the category

  • Participate in Industry events and engage in benchmarking exercises, and bring category trends, innovation and growth opportunities to the stakeholders and procurement teams. 

 

Skills and Experience

  • 10-12 years of advertising experience, preferably with an advertising or media agency or as Procurement Media expert

  • Understanding of Advertising & Marketing agency operations namely planning and buying of Media or eCommerce / Digital.

  • Experience in Project Management of complex scopes

  • Very Strong Communication (verbal and writing) skills 

  • Results oriented

  • Outstanding negotiation and influence capabilities with internal and external stakeholders

  • Proven records in leading change in suppliers at a regional and/or global level

  • Ability to work cross functionally and cross geography

  • Relevant experience working in/with industries with high spend in Advertising and Promotion (CPG, Automotive industry, Food & Beverage, Luxury, etc…)

 

Analytics  & Insights 

  •  Ability to define the questions which needs to be answered using data and insights 

  • Comfortable with experimenting with new systems and technologies

  • Use a data driven approach for validating hypothesis and develop internal and external insights 

 

 

Travel Requirements: Low/medium level of traveling

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree
