Role & Responsibilities


How does this role fit in? The opportunity exists to be the Senior Brand Manager for manual toothbrushes in our APAC region. As a part of the Enterprise Oral Care team in our New York headquarters, the APAC Manual Toothbrush team is responsible for strategy and innovation to drive growth with a focus on 2 of our biggest markets & innovation engines: China and India.


As the global leaders of Manual Toothbrushes with $1B in net sales, we are leading the strategy and innovation that will change the category for the future of Oral Care around the world. The Senior Brand Manager, Manual Toothbrushes  will provide on-going strategic leadership to the toothbrush category on the formulation & execution of the 3-year new product roadmap as well as the commercial strategy focused on our largest division, Asia Pacific. This person will work closely with global cross-functional teams to define and manage execution and analysis of all projects to deliver the grid and drive growth of the global P&L.


Key responsibilities:


1. Set the innovation & renovation roadmap of toothbrush brands/sub-brands through development and execution of the category strategy (manual toothbrushes)

2. Develop a deep understanding of global strategy. Use this understanding to address consumer needs at a division & country level 

3. Utilize financial acumen to take key business decisions that are  profitable, increase global equities and offer clear value-added benefits to consumers

4. Gain credibility and trust through Sub/Division/Global relationships and build commitment to common goal

5. Initiate the development and testing of product alternatives and improvements that address consumer need gaps

6. Develop product development plans based on category financial needs, markets, and applicable time frames

7. Stay abreast of CP and competitor activity (new launches & relaunches),  both successes and failures

8. Leverage analytics to draw quantitative insights - for CP & competitors. Initiate action when required based in competitor activity

9. Leverage social listening and digital tools to trendspot the latest in the world of innovation

What we ask.

  • 5 years of marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility

  • A proven track record of performance in brand management including consumer insights, driving innovation, and delivering the brand P&L

  • You have a strong business sense, analytical skills, and the ability to crystallize multiple data points into clear insight to develop the business case for new innovation

  • Communication is your forte and you lead with the ability to clearly articulate key business concepts and communicate complex technical ideas and results to non-technical partners

  • You have experience working with cross-cultural and geographically dispersed multi functional teams and agency partners

  • Knowledge of written and spoken Mandarin will be an added skill for the role
