About the Role

We are out here to find a dynamic and talented brand manager to join our Regional Brand Marketing Team and help us take Hill’s to the next level in the Greater Asia Region. To unlock growth and build it into a future growth driver for Hill’s, Greater Asia is a newly formed region, which includes our businesses in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and China. 


In this action packed and exciting role, you will be the OWNER of YOUR brand, reporting into the Regional Marketing Director. You ll work closely with internal and external teams  to create and execute exciting brand strategies to achieve business goals. These will include: 

Internal: Global marketing, subsidiary brand teams, Integrated Brand Experience (IBE) team, E-commerce, Customer Development, PVA, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Legal

External: Regional creative agency(s), regional media agency(s), Key Customers / Distributors


As the brand owner, you’ll be leading all regional brand initiatives including brand strategy, portfolio management, new product launches, pricing strategy, regional brand campaigns, Monitoring, Reporting, Market insights / intelligence, and overall support for our business in the region to help unlock growth. The ideal candidate:

  • Basic qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related.  A MBA is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing functions including marketing management, strategy planning, execution and project management experience. 

  • Preferable experience in FMCG, retail (FMCG), nutrition.

  • Familiarity with the pet food business is a plus.

  • Experience in category management and/or consumer marketing experience is a plus

  • Language fluency in English. Understanding of Japanese / Mandarin / Korean / Cantonese is a plus

  • Excellent business and communication (written & presentation) skills

  • Works effectively across functions, channels, and categories to align priorities, solve problems, optimize resources, and drive effective execution

  • Digitally savvy and curious, understand the dynamics of eCommerce

Principal Duties and Responsibilities





Brand Ownership

  • Be the owner of the brand, and lead and manage annual strategic marketing plans and initiatives

  • Build consumer demand through in-depth knowledge of the market, channels, brand, and the consumer

  • Plan the annual regional calendar of events and initiatives to create an impactful brand plan to impact both pet parents and veterinary profession partners

  • Build and drive pricing strategy for the brand, and partner with subsidiary teams to drive execution

  • Work closely with the Professional and Veterinary Affairs team to develop and drive initiatives for Veterinary customers, with e-commerce team to help build strong demand generations plans, with customer development teams, with Finance Manager to manage annual budgets, with Supply Chain team to help ensure the right stock availability, and with Hill’s global marketing team to ensure that we are creating one consistent brand across the world, efficiently and effectively!


Portfolio Management and New Product Launches

  • Manage and develop a winning brand portfolio

  • Lead new product roll-outs to unlock growth

  • Work with cross functional teams to craft and develop a winning claims pipeline

  • Product transition planning in case of product upgrades

  • Developing the right sizing and pricing strategy for our products

  • Regularly review simplification opportunities to keep the portfolio tight and efficient


Advertising and Campaigns

  • Lead rollout of regional campaigns, both global and local, in line with the brand strategy

  • Partner to create impactful in-store and in-clinic (including e-commerce) presence to make Hill’s the preferred pet nutrition brand of Vets as well as pet parents

  • Be the owner of how the brand gets represented in all campaigns and assets across touchpoint. Partner with regional e-commerce team to create regional sales events campaigns


Market Insight, Intelligence and Analysis

  • Be the expert on your brand and its environment by analyzing data, field visits, consumer immersions

  • Analyze and evaluate market & business data to monitor business trends versus action plan

  • Use available third party data to monitor competitors’ performance

  • Be the brand leader for research / insights initiatives to unearth consumer insights

  • Basis data driven insights, identify growth opportunities, plan actions and make recommendations to cross functional teams
