Plant HR and Administrator

The Plant HR and Administrator will support the Plant Director and HR Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates calendars, training events, schedules meetings including preparing meeting agendas and meeting minutes.

  • Arranges business travel and assists with expense reports.

  • Manages the budget for office supplies and places office supply orders for the plant.

  • Manages employee call-in line and tracking (absences, emergency vacation, STD/FMLA, parental, bereavement, etc.), time database management and conducts monthly audits of work leaves

  • Coordinates and manages the plant's employee programs and celebrations which includes service awards, holiday parties, company picnic, United Way Program, health/wellness activities, Colgate Live Better activities, safety and other celebrations/events

  • Coordinates the multi-step recruitment process for all new hires including Recruitment Management System tracking, coordinating physical/drug screens, record creation, and scheduling new hire orientation process

  • Provides coordination, administrative and organizational support to the HR Manager and acts as a liaison between Plant leadership and internal/external contact while maintaining highly confidential information and discretion at all times

  • Coordinates and maintains files for the Greenwood location

  • Recommends, designs, and executes plant-wide internal communications which includes bulletin board postings, mailings, internal job openings and other types of communication

  • Updates and maintains plant information such as training records and assisting with reporting and identifying gaps between completed and required training

  • Provides assistance to the administration of the internship program and other plant programs.

  • Provides assistance to team members with system accesses, EAP, bonus data, and payroll records

  • Actively participates in Plant/Global Supply Chain related projects, as needed

  • Coordinates bi-weekly payroll in partnership with Finance 

  • Kronos plant administrator 

  • All other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED 

  • Prior experience working in an HR environment

  • A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Proficient in Windows Operating Systems with emphasis in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Data mining and report generation ability

  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality

  • Knowledge of HR regulatory policies (i.e HIPPAA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA) required

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Self-directed with strong results oriented attitude

  • Ability to initiate and develop long-term working relationships and networks.

  • Ability to adhere to all safety requirements and wear the proper PPE

  • Ability lead several projects and responsibilities simultaneously

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in HR, Education, Psychology, Business or related field


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $49,600.00 - $75,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
