Job Title: Financial Analyst (m/f/d)

For the finance department we are looking for reinforcement as a financial analyst (m/f/d) for the Hamburg location.
A financial analyst is responsible for a wide range of operational duties of the department.
The person will mainly interact with DACH Hub employees as well as with the shared service center teams within the company and take care of the following main tasks:
- Manage general accounting tasks (general ledger bookings, goods receipt bookings, set up purchase orders for Finance)
- Perform month-end closing in accordance with US GAAP including accrual preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, internal finance reporting etc.
- Fixed asset accounting / lease accounting
- Oversee monthly intercompany transactions
- Review and submit monthly VAT reporting
- Prepare, review and submit monthly / annual statistical reports
- SOX coordinator for the DACH Hub
- Serve as primary local contact for accounts payable activities and coding of non-purchase order invoices (processing of invoices is done by the central service team)
- Travel & expenses, posting and owner of the current process
- Master data management for non-procurement vendors and employee vendors
- Preparation of manual and expedite payments
- Primary contact for the banks – set up / delete user, bank statements
- Participating in ad hoc projects

A successful candidate will bring along:
- Bachelor degree in economics / accounting / finance
- Practical accounting experiences
- Preferable knowledge of US-GAAP and HGB
- Good organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Team player with hands-on mentality
- Languages German and English
- SAP experiences
- Concur will be an advantage
- Good MS Excel experiences
